So, I purchased a 1992 240SX that been sitting for two years. The dizzy was turned all the way counter clockwise(retarded) so I thought it would be the dizzy sitting a few teeth off.

I took off the valve cover and turned the crank to TDC, then looked at my cams and chain and it was off. :(

Then I turned the crank to where everything matched up at the top timing chain and all sprockets are aligned but looking at the pulley markings, its sitting at half an inch before the last mark (6th I think).

My question is how do I fix this, is it the bottom chain that I need to mess with, the top and the cams, or all of them?

Any advise or suggestions would be great, please no famous Zilvia flamers. Thanks.

It will take a lot of turns to match up all three marks. If the motor rotates freely then I wouldn't mess with it. Just because the two on top match doesn't mean the bottom one will right away
