how is it going everyone im pretty new to nissan myself im used to working on hondas. lol but any way i have a 91 240sx with an rb20det silver top in it with a few bolt on up grades. but about 1 month ago i was hooking up an apexi safc neo and apparently my rpm signal output on my ecu is burnt out. so i was looking for somewhere to get an rpm signal from. i tried the #1 coil and it didnt seem right so i tried the loop on the igniter and got nothing. so then i was gonna try pin 41 cas 120 degree signal. ok now here is where i went stupid for some reason :wtf: i had the car running [and keep in mind i still had the wire ran from the coil] so i went to try pin 41 and grabbed the wire from the coil and touched it to the bare wire for pin 41. the car stumbled so i pulled it off real quick. and then for some god for saken reason my dumb ass touched it again and the car died. i figured i fried the cas but im not 100% ive bought two used mitsubishi ones both people claimed they worked. when i spin one i get nothing but the pump priming. and the other one i get the pump priming and if i spin it fast with a quick shake it kicks the injectors and the coils. but if i stop spinning it and then start again slowly it does nothing but primes the pump. i just want to make sure that the cas's ive gotten are messed up and its not something else like the ecu? and idk how nissans are but if i take out the eprom chip the led flashes steadily is it supposed to do that? and can i put the z32 cas on the rb20? because i read that you can and that people have but i havent been able to find anything passed that.
