Saw this in another car forum. Thought I'd share because the possible name of S1500 reminded me of s15. Like the article said, take it with a grain of salt.
Honda Could Possibly Be Working On A Baby S2000 Successor, Maybe (http://jalopnik.com/honda-could-possibly-be-working-on-a-baby-s2000-success-1303121563)
My thoughts:
Smaller and lighter than a Miata with an even less powerful 1.3-1.5L engine? Sounds Like a Japanese Kei car convertible to me (Suzuki Cappuccino comes to mind).
Although a car with the possibility of weighing less than a Lotus Elise sounds nice (and the smaller size/weight would help with the likely smaller 100hp engine), the Miata is already small and slow as it is to me. I can't imagine driving a smaller car than that. It would essentially be the size of a SMART car, but in roadster form. Uhh safety? I don't care because RACECAR. No Thanks.

Sounds like fun.
If not, add larger engine, and it will be.
Sounds like del sol (or whatever that things called) part II? You can probably rest assured that, no matter how fun, it will be ugly.

Honda nailed it with the s2000. High rev engine, amazing stock suspension.

So it's gonna be like the Copen, which sold quite well.

How much fucking smaller must a car be than a damn S2K.
Oh boy if I had a nickle for every time I heard somebody call the S2000 fat or wish it was smaller I would have $0.

Smaller is never a bad thing, especially considering how giant most new cars have grown.
This thing sounds fun. Hopefully it will not be ugly.

The red and teal renderings look the best, especially with the hardtop.

That teal thing looks great, VERY reminiscent of the Beat.

It could be lighter. Honda s2000 is 2700-2800lbs compared to NB Miata at 2300-2350 and MR2 Spyder at 2150-2200.
That plus the long nose of the s2000 turned me off into looking for a more traditional small roadster.

Can someone just make a knockoff Renault Spider or a Tommy Kaira ZZ? :)

This doesn't sound too bad at all. You already know there are gonna be people stuffing v8's into this small ass thing if it fits anyway, similar to the old chevy vegas.
Maybe this thing will be fun to drive and can be another option for me since my parents just want me to give up on the 240 and just get a new civic.

Smaller than a miata? Damn I definitely wont fit.....i would think they would stick a 6-speed in there though.
Nissan needs to jump on the bandwagon already.

Well, all the major car companies have the resources to make properly engineered sports cars and such, the only problem is the market. I assume that there was a huge demand for sports cars back in the 80's and 90's. Now I see that people mostly care about gas mileage and reliability, even though a lot of people buy SUVs and shit.
Too many fatass fucking people in this country.
