Most major shipping companies like Fedex, UPS, etc offer 'International Freight' shipping for goods that are too small to warrant their own shipping container and too large to be handled in standard parcel service. This kind of stuff is usually sent via Pallet or Wooden Crate just like domestic freight, except at one point or another it will put on a plane/boat for cross the Ocean.
There are a handful of other companies that do this kind of stuff - specifically international freight, but from my experience, aren't always to deal with if you're a non-business customer.
Whenever I deal with this stuff through work, we'll usually get multiple quotes from a handful of different services and go with the cheapest price and or shortest transit time. Most places allow you to get quotes online so it's pretty straightforward. Also make sure you know what additional services you'll need on both sides of the shipment - residential, lift gate, etc, etc. (Businesses with Dock to Business with Dock is almost always the easiest/cheapest - or optioning to pick it up/drop it off at a regional distribution center.)
There's also the option of going to a local third party shipper and having them work it out for you. There's a little mom and pop shipping store in my town that's always awesome to deal with for weird shipments, I'd imagine you can find a similar place near you.
Oh, and shipping stuff like this is always pretty expensive, even if you chose to have it sent on a ship. You've got domestic freight on both ends (unless you live that close to the port) plus the cost of ocean transit.

... You purchased an engine without researching how you were going to get it here? either way google freight companys and give them a call to get a quote and time frame. like thefro526 said befor you can get quotes on line but i like to go over the phone it is usualy more acurate information and will be done faster.
