I don't, I have this really cool exhaust leak though.
What are silvia mirrors? Are those the motorized ones?
Oh yeah, and you should think about getting a new 240sx decal or taking that one off, it looks weird with just '240S'...

Cool...I might get that exhaust once I go turbo. The piping, full stainless steel body, and angled tip have me thinking about it.

not a lot of ppl have this exhaust.. most ppl have the infamous apexi n1 or n1 dual.. and now, seems like a lot of ppl have those jdm exhaust that go for around $300-500. uras, buddyclub, rsr, etc.
you dont see that many ppl with 500-600 exhaust systems like hks, blitz, greddy, etc. etc.

UPS just brought me a new Apex N1, full stainless. not many people have the new version.

that's cause most people have common sense. Hmm...look at the second pic and look what 500 dollars can buy.. a pipe with a can on it.

exactly, and thats the reason why i would buy a titanium exhaust if i was going to pay over 600$. if you are going to drop that kind of cash on a pipe, it better be a really light weight, awesome looking pipe.

n1 duals suck, quality wise.
anyways, love the exhaust. i've always been a fan of it, and not too many people have it, at least around here. Looks great!

same thing can be said about suspension pieces. rucas, t/c rods, toe links/ traction rods, etc. they are just pieces of metal with ball joints and you're paying $300 for ruca, $200 for t/c rods, etc..

Yah i got that same exhaust. I just got done with my SR swap, thought the turbo would tone it down a bit...still loud but daaaaamn, shiet sounds alot meaner. 3" all the way back sucka. Damn too bad I still cant stomp on my damn car, still breaking in the cams.

If you're KA.... take out the silencer and see if you think it's not too loud. At 4000RPM my floorboard rattles.

remove the bolt on the bottom of the tip, 10mm, iirc. then, pull the silencer out. use pliers to keep you hands clean.
i run the silencer in mine most of the time. don't want too much attention in the neighborhood or around town.

n1 duals suck, quality wise.
Based on what evidence?

05-17-2004, 09:15 AM
there have been many threads of N1 dual tips popping off, pipes rusting, and even a canister falling off. (LOL!) a lot of money for a canister to be falling off!
I've got a almost rusted through exhaust that's older than most of you! hahaha!

ask any owner of a n1 dual and they will tell you what kinda "quality" that is.

I have N1 duals on my S14 and they are in great shape. I have never had any problems with my exhaust for bout over 2 years now and its still looking nice. Dont know why you guys think that the N1 duals are bad quality.

oh damn the fallen off tip is quite the evidence. then again alot of people own the apexi n1's and just gotta figure that within that large lot of people that there'll be more eff ups with them just because of the proportion of them sold...then again it could just be bad quality control.
the nur looks good but didn't blitz just increase their prices for this year along with hks? Personally I like my 5zigen proracer and loved my gp sports spec d before it got stolen.
oh yeah here's a tip, get the mid and end pipes welded at least a little so some crooked thieves won't slide under your car and take the end off and run off with it.

Damn. Thanks for the pic. Are all Apex'i exhausts to be avoided? Or just this particular model?

I ran the Blitz Nur for a year or so on my 1989 Supra Turbo. AWESOME SOUND and great performance! With this exhaust, a hi-flow cat, RT downpipe and a K&N (no other mods), the car boosted beyond the factory gauge's 8lb+ mark -- it could barely hit 6.5lb+ w/ stock setup. Also, the spool time was greatly reduced. With your list of mods, I'm interested in a SOTP review!
On the negative side: The screw holding the silencer rusted out eventually and the exhaust became insanely loud -- easy fix though. Otherwise, the build quality is top-notch on this unit.

i dont mean to hijack, so this is my last post about this. but i only think the n1 duals on OUR cars, s13 & s14, are to be avoided. most people i talked to have some complaint about rust or a cracked weld. easy to fix, but it just makes it a hassle. for some the exhaust has been great, like BadMojo. hes had that exhaust longer than i have, with no problems at all. i guess it just depends. who knows.

How does this modification make the car feel different?
Not as reliable as instrumentation (dynos, gauges, etc) but good enough for Internet message boards! :wavey:

ahh i see:D:D well if feels a whole hell of a lot better, then my CLOGGED factory exhaust, still need a test pipe though.... cranked the HBC up a lil yesterday, not much(no boost gague) but i can feel a noticable difference with that too....

A SOTP review may be subjective, but it's definitely better than just basing your decisions on what the manufacturer is telling you! :)
