Hi,
Does anyone know what's the name of this black box? and where can I get it from other than dealer? how much does it usally cost?
My car is 96 240sx. It is right under the fuel tank.

Its worthless, you dont need one.
NM, I thought that was the front of the car. I have no idea what that is.

at first i was thinking it is resonator.. but then i saw the sparewheel well... and compare that to my car, i don't see it anywhere, so it makes me wonder what kind of car is it ? 95+ 240sx ?

Hi,
This is a 96 240sx, and it's something relate to the emssion system. My engine check light is on and my technician guess it could be that problem.

I believe that's the charcoal canister. If so, then yes, it is emissions-related.

evap valve control part#14933-54u00 like 90 dollars
that's the evap canister. and it's not below the fuel tank either.... the fuel tank is further to the left, in the middle of the car.

charcoal canister in the back?.....ummm dont s13's have em in the engine bay.

Yah I always wondered wut the fuck that is. When i did my swap that shiet didnt hook up to anything from the ECU spot. I thought it had something to do with the fuel pump cuz theres a line that comes from there. I guess it is the Evap for the tank, i always thought it had something to do with bumper shock absorbers.

Ryan, I think that MIGHT be the carbon canister.....
If someone else posted it, I am sorry, Library internet suxx and dosn't display whole threads!
evap can is in the engine bay that is the valve i just gave you the part number and the name
as far as i know that's the evap canister and it's not located in the engine bay. i went back to the fsm to make sure, and that's what it shows it being. if you don't believe me check out this scan from the fsm.
