if your just wanting a "widebody" to run fat tires, use zg fender flares on stock aero..

or get wide front fenders and rear overs and leave you skirts and bumper untouched? m

maybe im missing something, but i really dont see what the issue is here..

Origin, Dmax, the list goes on. They all work with oem aero and don't require you to buy any special body kits etc.

Thank you Zerodameaon. I recetly discussed this with the owner of the SillBEER S13 and he said origins is a great widebody for keeping the original AERO bumpers and skirts but having that beautiful wide stance he has

Origin is the best fitting that's the most readily available. It'll work with keeping your body lines and OEM body although I do suggest getting something that'll work with it a little better. Fender flares also work but don't look nearly as OEM or clean.

Origin 50mm rear fenders go past the lower body line and will interfere with the side skirts. 30mm ones end just above it so you would be good with those.

Origin fronts may need work if you want them to look OEM. Mine fit like crap so I didn't keep them. Ordered ChargeSpeed this time.

Yeah if you want real fit and quality go with charge speed, top notch. I've had all sorts of issues with origin, good for drift cars lol

Chargespeed is great but just the fronts will cost you what the whole Origin 4 piece set will run you. They do keep the OEM upper door body lines and I hear they're the best fitting but expect to pay a nut for all 4 pieces.

Imagine that, paying more moneys for a higher quality product.

Fucking economics, man.

if one was on a budget, the zg flares would be a good choice

My origins are not bad except for one spot on that little crease line. IDK why but they sanded the middle flat.

orgin/vs is a hit or miss.

I was looking at chargespeed and when they say 499 for back, is that for just one side or both?

My origin takadashi 30's fit like a glove in the rear and flows with 180 kouki aero really well personally, I will be running chargespeed fronts and filling the vents like Mr. broadfield did

That is for the back pair. The front pair is the same price. That's 998 + shipping which isn't going to be cheap. QC is on point but if you aren't afraid to do a little simple body work, go Origin. I've ordered 2 kits and a few pairs of rears and fronts and only had an issue with a rear bumper which was replaced with one that fit perfectly. It is what it is.

^ origin is the way to go. The rear overs fit like a glove. I'm in the middle of adding oem valance and skirts, the fitment is pretty good for 60mm fenders.

It really all depends on your bodywork capabilities and your desired finish/budget.
I bought origin knock off s13.5 conversion fenders, which even the good companies are known for having poor QC/fitment, chargespeed being the best. Driver fender fit okay with heat gun + massaging. The pass side took a couple hours of heat gun and sanding to even fit at all.
Now there are some waves and dips that need to be filled, fortunately i have experience so a couple hours of my time it was worth it for me to take the risk. However if you're going in blind with no experience, after you pay a bodyshop you would almost be better off starting with a higher quality product.

ok, well i think ive decided on the chargespeed so now the saving begins, anyway so when they say over fenders, you just bolt them on top of your old fenders so to speak or do you just take the front fenders off and stick those on

The fronts replace the stock fenders. The rears go over.

My chargespeed fenders were decent but they were not Zomg perfect fitmet by any means. Every hole had to be "adjusted" or they would not line up. They were too tight on the pop ups and required some "massaging" for the headlights to work without contacting. My 180sx front bumper does sit correct at the top but both fender extensions don't sit 100% flat. They held body line great once all was said and done but they were far from perfect fitment wise out of the box. Build quality they were awesome. No waves, required very minimal filler/prep to get straight. I got mine on a chargespeed sale with their hood so I think they were only like 900 shipped for both.

There hood is another story. The fenders lined up great with the stock hood but once the fiberglass hood went on gaps were ridiculous.

I hope luck will be on my side then.

Nothing other than OEM is always exact and perfect. The world just isn't that perfect. A friend of mine did in fact go chargespeed fronts and had a small issues at the corners. It wasn't completely off but they did require a little fixing. If you're going to go slide the car and beat the shit out of it, would you get more pissed smashing something that costs $250 or something that costs $500? I'll take my chances on Origin [I've never had a big problem with them other than the situation I previously stated which they switched it out no questions asked; the rear bumper I got in it's place was almost perfect] and just take a few hours and make them work. If they get smashed, oh well. If you want to hard park the car, then maybe you're decision making will differ.

Chargespeed fenders and Works9 front, rear & skirts.
On the pictures they are all temporarily mounted. They fit very well in their final position.

Oem doesn't fit perfect all the time either. Especially if you drive a vette lol. Anyways your old car isn't perfectly straight anymore either. Things bend twist etc. Just pic what you feel comfortable dropping cash on. Better quality will always make it easier. Spend more on quality or spend more on hours of labor. The best I've seen to date is JUN as far as after market fitment goes.

So I got my ChargeSpeed front fenders yesterday and they fit 100x better than the Origin ones that I had. All the pre drilled bolt holes line up perfectly. Way less waves in the gel coat as well. Definitely worth the extra cost. No pictures though because my front end is 1/4" out of place due to a previous fender bender and I need to get that fixed before the hood and latch will line up. :bite:
