Can't imagine why you'd have a problem with valvoline.

Based on what I believe royal purple to have done to my synchros, there's no way I'd trust their motor oil, or any other product from them. And jesus christ they charge a lot for that purple color.

If you are dying to use obnoxiously expensive oil, get amsoil, it's the real deal. Royal purple is a fake boutique oil.

Also, it calls for 5w30, so use 5w30. If you're changing one number, it should probably be the top one, but unless the car smokes badly or has other signs of wear, (or you do a used oil analysis and it shows excessive wear) or you're picking a different oil for reeeeallllly extreme track use, you should just use a quality oil with a good additive package in the suggested weight.

I mean, what the fuck is royal purple alleged performance oils, with all the thickness of everclear, anyways.... if you want "performance", I'm pretty sure the hardcore stuff is all strait weight 50. Fuck royal purple.

Im running Valvoline and no problems yet. I tried Syncromesh twice and both timess my trans had grinding issues but it could have been that damn auto adapter thing in the crank. Switched that out and went with valvoline and been smoother then a bwhomper on the smooth shit. :)

Stay with the valvoline.

30W-50 and when you put it in bash the rev limiter for a solid 5 minutes at least
