I know this isnt an S or Z chassis, but I need a little help diagnosing the issue im having on an 05 Altima. The AC compressor doesnt turn on. I replaced the compressor, and it still doesnt kick on. Research that ive done says it could be the high or low pressure switch, or it could be the compressor relay. On this car, the relay is connected to the IPDM and is not serviceable. How would I go about figuring out which pressure switch is the issue, without just throwing parts at it? Thanks in advance for any insight.

there should be 2 wires on the low pressure side...cut yourself a little piece of wire, or use a paper clip or something like that, unplug the low pressure sensor and jump the two wires on the harness. this should kick on the compressor regardless of wether the system is empty or not. If that doesn't work, gonna have to start checking voltages and what not.

maybe a altima forum would yield better results.

on my 05 350z, I noticed the compressor wouldn't turn on, click on, nor the light would turn on inside on the knob. So because it was still under warranty, the dealer checked it and they said something must've hit the condenser on the freeway because it had some damage and all the Freon came out. Not sure why the damaged condenser was not allowing the A/C compressor to activate. They installed a brand new condenser and it fixed the issue, hope that helps.
