first impression:
Manifold looks real good, welds looks well done as well
its sturdy and a lil heavier than a regular manifold due to the thick walls and 48mm diam runners. I will be installing the manifold and wastegate this coming week and will post fitment pictures as well as dyno sheets after everything is done.
currently running a GTX3071r twin scroll t3 .84 on a single scroll manifold. current setup is making 335/251 rwhp at 16 psi with
Built block
built head using hks 272 cams

Nice. Interested to see how your setup does with this. What mani were you previously using? And how much u end up getting this twin scroll for?

Using a no name manifold atm. That's the reason why I can't go past 16psi. Boost will creep up to 23 psi. This is the current dyno sheet

I'm expecting faster spool and be able to go 28-30 psi with water meth kit. Its built for high boost.

I'm looking at this manifold as well. Where did you pick yours up from? Did you buy the manifold and waste gate together?

Seller currently have them on ebay. Relentless_performance.
Finally had some time to mock manifold, wg and the gtx3071.
44mm wg clears bmc, oil dipstick have to be relocated and vc breather need to be cut a lil shorter so it will have enough clearance with turbine housing and drain line will be real close to the wg runners so planning to do a slight angle 10an flange to have some clearance. As you guys can see also clears a/c line but strongly recommend to wrap it or slightly bend the line in compressor side. I will be getting downpipe done as soon as I get a day off. Cant believe how beefy manifold is compared with the no name manifold I had.

hey nice.. which turbo did you use? actually dw just realised u stated it.
however what housing did you use or did already come with a twinpulse housing??

How much does this manifold weigh?

I've been really busy at work but here is a small update. I pulled manifold off and cleaned runners and put high temp ceramic coat ( using correct baking procedures). This is a external gate manifold. Also installed coolant fittings and vacuum to wastegate.
Plan to use the xtra two threaded holes on turbo flange to make a small bracket to head manifold flange studs

How do you tighten turbo to manifold and tighten all the coolant line. I can't get to the rear on mine. Do u have to break turbo apart for installation ?

I installed everything yesterday. I bolted on turbine housing by itself and then chra with compressor housing together.

I was looking at this manifold as well. I'm curious as it holds up.
I'd be installing on pro-am FD/time attack car. Currently 3076r setup, later I'd just cut the manifold and weld T4 twin scroll flanged 1.05 EFR 8374. Trying not to go LSx! :p lol
What about using heat wrap?
Also are you making the downpipe?

I'm not sure about weight. Probably heavy as a full race manifold. For those who asked. Pics of the re-routed coolant lines with thermal sleeves

Looks good mate, have you got this all up and running now then? If so what sort of power it it making? and at what rpm are you getting full boost?

I take it the wastegate merge isn't divided all the way to the gate face? If it isn't, you're really killing most of the spool enhancing properties of a divided setup.

why 2 oxygen sensors?
also...which thermal sleeves are those?

Me and my buddy made the downpipe

I'm reaching full boost by 3900 rpms and over 450hp

Wrong, it is divided up to the wg flange
why 2 oxygen sensors?
Havent hook up wideband to the standalone yet, so still using the stock (garbage I know)
also...which thermal sleeves are those?
From a local shop. I used -4an and bought 1/2 inch sleeves and they fit snug

Oh right 3900 is not too bad then but quite a bit higher that a full race setup, a mate mine hits full boost at 3300, what boost pressure are you running, sounds like a really impressive setup do you have a dyno printout.

I'm thinking that 600rpm spool difference probably has other factors.
LED Sandwich, out of curiosity, what cams is your buddy running?
Also their piping (volumetric capacity of charge system) can make difference as well. You just have to remember the cams efficiency ranges are going to affect spool a bit. Top end response is also not noticed on dyno graphs. Intake style makes a bigger difference than people realize, and even intake filter. Not to mention "full boost" pressure. Intake manifold also makes a difference.
Is your buddy runing a 3" v-band? or a 5bolt outlet?
I'm not trying to be a smartass, just want a more complete comparison. :)
I'm very strongly considering buying this thing.
(When I had my ex. cam clocked all the way advanced I was hitting 22psi by 4300rpms gt3076r (440whp at 15psi), t.s. turbo non-t.s. manifold [lol pointless I know].

Wrong, it is divided up to the wg flange
That is pretty impressive, not many companies do that.

Ill have a check and get back to you on that one. he has a trin dividae wastegate manifold which should make a little difference.

Right i had an ask around and he is usng stock cams this was his spec. this was achieving 420hp and full boost by 3300rpm
Spec is:
Cp 9.0-1 pistons
Manley h beam rods
Chemically cleaned and lightly decked block
3 angle valve seat
Waisted standard inlet valves
Acl race bearings
Lightened and balanced bottem end assembly (crank, pulleys, flywheel, clutch)
Standard cams (for the moment) with cryo treated rockers and ras
Circuit sports billet fuel rail and sard 850cc injectors
Full-race twinscroll twin ext wastegate manifold
Garrett gtx3071 with full race twinscroll ex housing .71

Doesnt make sense. A stock cam with all of that? no. VE is not good enough to even make 350rwhp with a stock SR20DET camshaft, so no, no. (on pump gas)
That would be a record setting dyno graph if you post it.
On the other hand, I could see it happening at 33psi on E85 or C16 fuel, and 8,400rpm. But judging by the 850's I am thinking... no. not on a dynojet.
LED Sandwich
10-10-2013, 01:10 AM
Its not on E85 or anything but our pump fuel is a little different. It will bemapped for 99 ron which is our premium fuel. He was looking into cams but said he was struggling enough to find tracks that were bug enough to run his current power on. a lot of the uk tracks are quite short ad twisty so you lose some advantage from high powered setups.

hmm I hit 26psi by 4500 rpms
singe scroll manifold lol with .78trim gt3076r.
You think there's enough room to fit in there with a torce and cut off the T3 flange and weld on a T4 t.s. flange? I'm looking at using it coupled with an EFR 8374 ext. wg.
Or Maybe 8374 IWG with full race IWG manifold. What you guys think?
(not tryign to thread jack ahah)

10-13-2013, 10:48 PM
Its kinda hard to believe he can push 420 on stock cams. Ajzax I don't think a t4 flange will fit. The is little to no room to valve cover
LED Sandwich
10-14-2013, 02:06 AM
Ill have another chack when i see him as the spec list was a couple of months old, but it was 420 flywheel horsepower not wheel, so i guess 390 ish wheel horsepower.

thx for the heads up on the valve cover clearance man!
I think I'll be running IWG .92 8374 EFR with full-race T4 twin scroll EFR IWG manifold.
This manifold setup looks sweet though! I may later upgrade to it on my daily with a 3071 twin scroll? :) Help fuel economy right!? Gotta get them MPG in the grocery getter S14! :p

Correct sir! On side note wastegate failed withing 5 seconds. Not sure if it was defective but its stuck open. Removed spring and valve will get stuck and I had to tap it to get it.loose. removed, junked, used my tial mv-s=problem solved
Can you post the dyno up?
I saw the thread blow up over on SXOC - some of those guys are a little unnecessarily cocky...
But you posted you made near 500 rwhp, so I'd love to see the graph. Also what boost and housing A/R are you running? This is giving me hope a GTX3071R will still work out for a reasonably responsive track setup.
