So my engine is freshly rebuilt and I put a new oil pump in it..
I packed the new pump with grease like I was told to do,
I was wondering how long it takes for oil to shoot out the turbo feed line when turning the motor over?
I turned it over for about 20-30 seconds and none came out. Is there another way to do it?

I'm not sure about grease, but I've always filled mine with a mixture of oil and assembly lube. What grease did you use? Do you have an oil pressure gauge?

Grease? That doesn't sound good.

I don't have an oil pressure gauge
And it's lithium ion grease, it's petroleum based

A Nissan tech told me I need to crank it for 90 seconds.. 30 second intervals or so and then oil will come out of feed line

Just wondering, did that nissan tech tell you to prime the pump with grease too? I've never heard of such a thing if so. I I would never want anything as viscous as grease flowing through the oil gallies in my motor. Especially the ones the size of a pin hole. You can also pull the valve cover and check to see if you have oil pooling in the head. When you do get it running, I would recommend changing the oil and filter immediately to get the grease out. I couldn't imagine what grease would do to an oil filter.
I could be wrong though, it might be one of the tricks of the trade I have yet to hear about.

I'm just worried, should I just connect everythjng and start it or??
I turned it over so it should be primed... Nothing came out of feed line Thoigh.
Should I just put the manifold and turbo on and see if the oil pressure light turns off?

You can pack the oil pump with some grease to help it prime. There isn't enough to clog anything and it generally breaks down in oil. I've personally used assembly lube/paste to pack the oil pump so I had minimal down time without oil flow.
Pull your plugs out and kill the fuel pump. Crank the car over with the valve cover off until you start to see oil squirting from the oil rails above the cams. Reinstall everything, oil pump is primed, enjoy your new found oil pressure.
You should have an oil pressure gauge as well.

Does it typically take a few minutes of running for lifter tick and oil light to go off for a new rebuild/pump?
I didn't see your reply and started it after priming it. The oil pressure light would go off for a few seconds rvery once and a while but mostly just come on then go off.
I turned it off sgyer about 2 minutes of lifter tick. Started to worry me

Your oil light should go off immediately after start up. Check your level and do what I said.
One thing people seem to forget is the o ring that goes between the block and the oil pump cover. Without it, it just sucks in air without the ability to prime.

What made you cahnge the pump in the first place?
I hate to be the debby downer here, but it really sounds like you've got wore out bottom end bearings, preventing oil pressure from building. Seriously.

Agreed...and for those not able to find one, all Nissan dealers have them in stock, same o ring as used on the front timing chain covers on the VQ engines.
