I would like a second opinion on whether this is a noise that I should be concerned about.

I was troubleshooting an overheating problem, my engine never busted the max temp, but it would get pretty close from time to time.
Turns out my e-fans were blowing the wrong way, and I'm an idiot. So I reversed current flow through them and they are corrected now.

I took my car for a test drive to see if that fixed my heating issue, and it did (yay) but then I pulled into my garage and my engine started making a clicking noise while it idled. :(

Edit: If I need to take a better video just tell me

Sounds like your injectors to me.

Sounds like your injectors to me.

Thank you for the input.
Would this be a normal noise for the injectors? Or are they bad?
I don't remember it making the clicking noise before.

On my car they are quiet, Only a few times have they been loud.. Just give it a few more days.. See if they sought themselves out. If no you can always pull them out to check them and make sure there working, or buy new one if you really really want to

I had some friends take a look.
One mentioned Sticky Lifter.
Another mentioned Exhaust Leak.

With it running, slowly rev it to about 3k. Rod knocks on these engine seems to have 3-3.5k for its sweet spot to come out.

From what I've heard so far, sounds like something in the head more than anything else, but I kinda heard something when you rev'd that sounded like rod knock too.

Pull one coil at a time while the car is idling, plugging the coil you removed back in and moving to the next and see if the noise goes away. If it doesn't, it's not rod knock. I agree with flip that it's probably something in the head. I'm thinking a bad lifter thats bleeding down over time.

I've had this before, But it went away. Still think its the injectors. Pull the injector plugs off and replug them, Did you feel them ?

Today I rev'd it to 3.5k and the noise got worse, definitely sounded like something was rattling. I then took my oil cap off during idle, and I was getting a lot of blow by. Had a really strong scent of gas.

I replaced the oil in it, and when I started it back up the ticking was gone at idle. But the rattle at around 3k was still there. I drove it around a bit, and when I got back the ticking at idle was back. I tried removing the spark plugs one by one to see if that would remove the ticking, but it didn't.

Did you look at the oil? Notice any metal in it? It would like like it had metallic flake floating around.

I did notice metal shavings sticking to my magnetic oil drain plug.

Try to figure out what cylinder it is. You can rev the car up to 2k or so and pull one coil at a time to see if the noise goes away.

The ticking is most likely your injectors, they are loud.

I'd pop the valve cover off and inspect the head to make sure theres nothing fucked up in there. Double check the rocker arms and make sure all the shims are in there. Probably wouldnt be a bad idea to check all the lifters and make sure none of them is stuck/collapsed, then bleed them.
