I bought a 90 240 w a ka24de swap. Ran fine when I got it. Drove it about 100miles back to the house. Interstate most of the way no problems.

Problems now
High idle around 2000 rpm
Will not rev above 4k rpm while driving
Struggling for power when starting off in first gear and getting to 4k

What I have tried already.
Replaced the MAFs
Removed and cleaned iacv
Checked all over engine for vac leaks both by sound and by using carb cleaner.

I am really at a loss. I've searched all over and tried the things I've found with no results. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Sounds like a plethora of problems.

The high idle may be a vacuum leak.

Not revving past 4k may be a fuel pump issue, I think my stock fuel pump did something like that before it died.

I'll try and look some more to see if there are any vacuum leaks.

Been looking at upgrading to a Walbro any ways so I guess it's just time to do it.

If in nuetral does it rev beyond 4k?

Sounds like car is in limp mode if it doesn't, search and troubleshoot.

Yes the engine will revv all the way up to about 6500-7000 rpm.
Just dealt with that problem. Had a bad MAFs

If it free rev's in neutral fine without issue to redline, then start looking for a loose coupler or something that can 'expand' under boost. Some cars can drive just fine in light load, but as soon as you get boost into the pipes, it leaks and causes funny issues.

The other thing to look at is the plugs. If you had a bad MAFS it could have easily fouled the plugs out.

Already changed the plugs.
The car is n/a so dont have to worry about boost
Going to change the Ecu and see what happens if anything going to see what codes it spits out. Going to change it from a 25 Ecu to a 28.
