First off, let me say hello. My name is Steve, new to south fl, drive a 95 S14 SE (5spd swap).
Now to my issue(s):
I purchased last June and the car seemed ok however has slowly just started to fall apart. Oil leaks everywhere, hack job wiring, electrical system drain which kills the batt every few days if not driven, clutch going out as well as synchros ... I could keep going but I think you all get the point. I bought a damn lemon.
Most people tell me to just sell the car and get something else, but I have been a 240 enthusiast for a long time and now I have one and I would like to prove everybody wrong and make this 240 shine.
With the ka in bad shape (200k+ and leaking oil) as well as the clutch/syncro issues, an engine swap sounds like the most logical solution. If I had the funds I would love to put in a VQ35HR but realistically I think the typical SR swap is the way im leaning.
Here is what I need help with, it seems like the 240 craze has died down and I cannot find any shops in the south florida area. I have googled and binged away and no results, so now I turn to the forums for help. I want to find a shop that has experience and a solid reputation to do this. The guy I bought the car from obviously did a tremendous hack job and I NEED to have this car done correctly and reliably.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated, sorry for the typical newb post :bash:
ps- I know about enjuku in Orlando but im in delray beach and would prefer something a bit closer ...
