Hey everyone. I just bought a s13 and the motor runs good no really idle problems or anything. I've done plugs wires fuel injector cleaner and air filter. When I'm inthe car I notice a weird like shake from the motor. The Rpms don't move nor change. It runs fine. I noticed when I start the car up the motor shakes a lot! Like when I go to turn car on. I'm thinking a bad motor mount?? I checked the injectors I'm getting fuel so I don't think it's a fuel problem. Timing was fine when I looked at it with a light. But the dizzy has to be almost to one side for it to be timed for ignition timing. Any ideas?

If the idle is smooth and the motor is shaky; then yea you prolly need new mounts.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking because if I put the car in gear and have e brake up and try to come out of first the motor raises up. I un plugged the wires also and it changed idle so I know I'm not mis firing. If I was mis firing wouldn't the idle start to drop?

This. when my mounts shit out it would do the same as well as when i would shift lol

Yeah I feel like it is. Cause it is a rather steady vibration. Like the exhaust pipe moves a bit too. When I let off the gas hard I feel the motor jerk a bit. A misfire would cause the motor to run like crap right?
yea get new mounts you should clear that up. misfires can be tricky but wont give you symptoms as rough as a bad motor mount unless one cylinder is missing completely and not firing at all. if your have a mild misfire the idle will almost sound kind of cammed lol and when you give it gas it will kind of sputter and pop and back fire and shit. replace motor mounts and report back with results
