The SR20 has made over 1000hp. Has a RB20 made that kind of power?

Damn it Florida stop this shit.
Your car, Your Money, Your Decision.
Every one has a different opinion on everything, so this will just turn in to another worthless thread of ppl arguing which engine is better.
Do your own research and decide what you want.

Not true. What you get with the RB20 is a little better bottom end, a far smaller aftermarket; and a motor that sounds FREAKIN AMAZING when revving out... There are 300-400hp reliable RB20's out there all day long- so by 'small aftermarket,' don't take it like I'm saying you can't make them awesome and just as fun (if not more) as any SR out there... but '2 more cylinders' at the same displacement is just that- THE SAME DISPLACEMENT. If you take an RB20 and an SR apart and look at the blocks side by side, you will see that the RB20's pistons are MUCH smaller. In other words- they still move around the same amount of air/fuel as the larger SR pistons...
The SR20 has made over 1000hp. Has a RB20 made that kind of power?
^^Tom, apples & oranges. Why spend the time/money trying to get 1000 out of an RB20 when you can get it much easier out of an RB25 or 26 lol.
Yes, there have been some 700-1000whp SR's made... but how much 'extreme power' can be made is not the question...
I agree with Sileighty- this has been beat to death many a time...
RB's are awesome and so are SR's. It boils down to preference. I personally prefer the SR for plug 'n' play operation, large aftermarket & maintenance-friendliness... but don't think for one second I would turn down an RB20'd 240 if the price were right ;)

Holy beat to death topic! Better question is who gives a shit? Do some research on your own and make a call.
Here is two threads you can look through, also try Google (it's your friend).

That's my point. A SR has proven to make tons of hp. A RB20 is still just a 2.0 but with added moving parts. Both have same displacement, ones just heavier. So why wouldn't you just go with a RB25-26 if a RB series is what you want.
To me every angle of the argument leave the RB20 out unless you just want to be different. And I 100% get that.
