Car won't get up passed 4000 rpm

When I'm driving and I wanna run the gear it won't go passed 4000 rpms in any gear and when I'm in my last gear and I'm clocking like 80 the car seems to loose power then I have to let go of the gas and hit it again to regain power car is a 90 240sx coupe ka24e

I had a similar problem, replaced fuel filter and it was fine. Could be different in your case but from my experience change the filter

I already changed the fuel filter that was my first guess

Thanks ima check them out as soon as I can start my car again I have it all torn apart cause my timing chain guide went to shit on me
