i have searched and i can only come up with mount kits made to put a ls SERIES sbc in a 240sx. What i need is the mount kit to put a sbc (400 small block) in my 95 240sx! :)

thanks guys!

i found a site and somehow i lost the link but basically the only thing they sold was the mount kit and the oil pan needed.

I was planning on running these mounts. Heard they worked but never actually got in touch with Mckinney to see exactly what was up. Maybe this will be some help.

from past experience with McKinney I would recommend you stay as far away from them as possible. I would suggest ebay garbage before dealing with that guy again. Myself and 2 other local guys have used his rb25 mount kit, with horrible results. we have all purchased different mounts since the mckinney ones broke. One guy received a down pipe that looked like a 5 year old welded it together, and a drive shaft that was 2 inches too short.

That is because, generally, it will cost the same to install a random V8 into the chassis as an LSx (disregarding the cost of the engine itself)

This in mind, why design mounts to fit random V8's when the most popular, best choice is the LSx series?

Why install an older, sloppy engine with outdated technology and poor efficiency?

Why waste the time? modern 5.3 will put more power down reliable than a 400.

Sell the 400 to some old head who thinks they are magical for a ton of money, go out and
get a carb and intake for a 5.3 (the 5.3's are like 150-300 dollars from a junkyard), and rock out.

Trust me...it took me a while to see the light too.

because i have 2 240sx's and both are 95's and both se 5 lug cars...One i am doing a clean ka24de build on because i have a complete ka24de 5spd swap i am going to put in one (the 240 thats in really good condition) to familiarize myself with 240s in general so i can expand my knowledge on the chassis and wiring before i buy a swap. The gold/willow pearl 240 which is in rougher condition will be getting a old small block 400 put in it just for kicks and giggles becuase my dad can build bad ass sbc engines.

I am just using what i got in my possession. i personally do not like the new ls engines.
