prepping the car for paint and i want to take everything off. it feels like there is a bolt back there but i can't get it to come off. is it just a plastic snap in thing?

i'm thinking of shaving it so i might just tear it off but i would rather keep it and maybe fill in the nissan and just keep the emblem shape. any other ideas?

iirc, just leaves a hole in the middle
its double sided taped on too, so lots of goo gone is good

um...leave the shape i think, but it looks kinda dumb on chuuki/zenki bumper
but looks relaly good on kouki bumper
but its your call

so do i just have to tear it off?

what looks dumb, just the shape or the emblem itself. i think it looks a little weird but it needs something up there, i just can't think of what. i might paint it gloss black (car will be flat black) that way it would be there and noticable but subtle.

Some punk tried to steal the emblem off my bumper a while back, but he was such a dumb bastard he broke it in half.
I spent about a minute trying to "unscrew" that "thing" off the back of the emblem (I have no idea what it was) before I got pissed off and just broke it again and pulled the remaining piece out. It leaves the indent of the emblem and a gaping hole to look at. I covered mine up with white duct tape (classy) until I got a new one from the dealership, which didn't come with that thing to screw on the back like the original.
I would fill the whole thing up though, like in the picture Old_S13 posted. Looks very nice like that. :)

Bondo will not stick to urethane, Atleast not very well. It will crack or fall off.

lmao i did this like 3 years ago.....

1. I did not know it was going to leave a big hole.
2. Didn't realize there was an impression in the bumper.
3. didn't know there would be paint spots missing from trying to take it off, showing my yellow urethane.

I couldnt get it the hell off....i ended up snapping it in half then just pulling till it came off.

I've regretted it ever since....

must use plastic filler.

take it to a body shop that knows what they are doing. painting bumpers also requires flex additives so that the paint doesnt chip and peel easy, so just use a reputable shop and you guys should be fine.

russian> that car is SEX

yeah.. its not bad, when its not in pieces and runs. :) i need to fucking finish that piece of shit.

if u have a black car just get some electrical tape

electrical tape is also available in a multitude of colors, such as blue, green, red, and pink -- a color for every occasion of idiots!
