i was wondering if anyone knew of any companies that got rid of the ugly top cat right after the exhaust manifold on the ka24de? i've been searching for some type of down pipe or something to get to the bottom cat. i heard that the projectsilvia ones worked. but not sure. if anyone could please help, it would greatly be appreciated. thanks

well its not that one under the car. u can see it from when u pop your hood open. its just right there. its the very first one. there's two cats, the one under the car is already hollowed out. i dont have emissions in parts of new mexico so im not worried....let me know though. thanks.

an SR downpipe will fit, but it'll hang slightly lower, i'm told.

Hotshot headers will eliminate the real cat, and bolt up to the dummy cat (hollow pipe). The SR downpipe is also clocked at a funny angle, and would require cutting, rotating the upper flange, and re-welding. You cannot use a hotshot header and SR downpipe at the same time. If you want clear through exhaust flow, you can also replace the dummy cat with a hi-flow cat or test pipe, seeing as you'll be messing with it installing the HS header anyway.

EDIT: And yes, if you choose to use a SR downpipe, and reclocking the upper flange, you will lose the real cat also.
