Hello everyone. I have a question regarding what kind of spool time I'm looking at on a VG30ET. The car has tubular manifolds, ported and polished heads,+1mm oversized ferrera valves with 5 angle valve job and 30 degree backcut,280/intake 280/exhaust .450 lift cam, 2.5in IC piping, garrett intercooler 29'/8'/3' with 2.5 inlet/outlet and engine compression is 8:1 compression. I apologize for my lack of knowledge and did do alot of searching and learned a great deal about holsets but really didnt find anything regarding the spool time of a t4 .89 a/r on a 3.0 V6.
Heres is the link to the turbo that I purchased.

Guess I will be the first to report on this. Car is currently at friends shop while crankshaft is off to get shot peened, chamfered, micro polished, knife edged and balanced. Will report back with results in about 1 week. :ughd:

Most people dont have turbo vg30E engines maybe thats why, but it sounds like it should spool quickly if honduhs are any indication
Is the exhaust manifold dividing the pulses for twin scroll? I believe the hx35 is a twin scroll turbo, and that will definitely improve spool
hows it coming?

Actually its a vg30et that came already turbocharged with a hideously small t25. I've actually just finished porting and polishing the heads. Ill post pics very soon and also have decided to go with BRC forged pistons instead of stock z32tt pistons because they are actually cast aluminum. All that's left is to order the pistons which I plan on as soon as I get a response back from brc because Im going with 8.0:1 compression and also I haven't purchased the intercooler yet. The turbo I purchased from what Ive read about the housing is actually a T3 twin scroll and a/r is around .63 so it should spool fine..might go with a bigger BEP housing. The exhaust manifolds merge and divide into the twin scroll.
