Riddle Me This:-

Tonight on my way to work, i was sitting at the light getting ready to make a left onto rt28(where i usually find 2-3 runs a day going to and from work) Sitting in front of me also turning left is a white mustang...now he had the SVT tag but as not being stupid i noticed the "Mustang GT" engravment on the rear bumber. He also had aftermarket Flowmaster that extended about 6 inches past the rear bumber and angled at like 15degrees.
So i was like thinkin to my self, might as well give him a little run, i knew he would whip my ass, but i never deny a good little spanking. So as we pull on to the the interstate i run up a little quick into 2nd, he pulls all the way into the far lane, i pull into the middle lane, i keep it in 3rd at about 5000rpms casue i see him keep looking at me through the mirror, just as i hear him drop gears and those flowmasters reving i punch it..hit the rev limiter, and throw it into 4th, NOW HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE that up until about 110 i was right next to him the whole time, he then had to turn right so he slowed down. I blinked him for shits and giggles and carried on down the road.
Now i used to not have any trouble with GT stangs in my 89 300z turbo but i thought that he should have ripped me a new #######.
ne ways, just though id hit yall up about that, who knows maybe he was just fucking around with me

might have been an automatic and those flowmasters are decieving they are loud as #### even at half throttle, but who knows maybe a couple of cylinders weren't firing <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

Was it the earlier rounded 'stang or the &quot;New Edge&quot; design (late 90's to recent) 'stang. &nbsp;There is a fairly significant power difference IIRC. &nbsp;The mid 90's 'stang should be slower and w/i striking distance of a decently modded 240.

The older v6 stangs aren't much of a match for a 240sx, dunno the specs on a GT though.

was it '99-up? u can tell cause those cobras have an orange stripe at the bottom of the tails. ne way, SN95's arent really known for their ground shattering speed. for some reason, modular mustangs sound badass, but are really slow. the 4.6 makes decent HP, but it doesnt pull nearly as hard as the 5.0. the torque curve is not as flat as the old motor. however, one of the best things about mustangs is that there is a very big aftermarket following, and that with relatively very little money, u can make them go, stop, and handle.

i know the GT puts our 260, the BULLITT puts out about 285-ish on paper, and the Cobra is 320.
