Hey guys I know it's been covered and talked about over and over again, but I finally got around to making a braided high pressure line and changing some of the old junk hoses on my 91 hatch. I've been driving with intermittent power steering for over 7 months and have no clue how I did not blow the pump up, because sometime I would drive with out fluid and then with for days, but I would also go and slide around with no fluid in....Big mistake, because I learned how to control it that way :( I'm going to post up pictures of the line, and a picture of my garage floor and why you shouldn't be a slacker. The line cost me around 70 dollars, that's because I got 6ft of braided line :duh:Took the car out for a test drive/drift to see if it held fluid and no leaks and yeah I'm not used to having 100% working power steering.

Is that just regular braided ss hose or power steering specific? Did you really use the whole length? Why didn't you cut it?

Exactly? Why didnt you just buy a line from one of the many companies who produce them that actually fit for around $20 more?

i went to a hydraulic company by where i worked and asked them for something that can handle high psi and we use that kind of line at work for all our hydraulics, but thats what they made me and yeah i used the whole length and i can get it shortened, but I just wanted to throw it on so I can get to a local event this weekend and make the trip out there and stop leaking on my garage floor

I would make sure the lines dont rub against eash other or anything metallic. It could cause it to rupture.

Ok that explains the crimped on ends... now just shorten the line and add a cooler.. n build the rest of it out of braided ss line lol

Ive driven without power steering, and, power steering fluid. the way you should not drive is without any steering power. driving skill will change right away.

$70 is not bad. I got mine for about ~$84 with 90° AN fittings. Got all the info on how to build it on the ISIS P/S line review thread.
