View Full Version : I just took my spare out...
Well, I just took my spare tire and jack out (hrm...cool smugling compartments on the sides there) I could feel a differance but i dono if its really better or not. I broke the backend lose in a turn after I took it out but I really doubt it would have stuck had there been an extra 20lbs back there cauz there would have been an extra 20lbs of inersha(sp?) pushing sideways right? Is less weight in the back going to hurt anything other than my launch? Maybe I can get my battery back their sometime in january...we'll see.

taking weight off the back throws off the weight distribution which is almost perfect on 240s. Other than that I wouldn't do it because Ive had 2 flat tires in the past year.

i think the weight dist. is 52/48, so you're talking weight off the wrong end

I moved my battery to my trunk for a more even weight distribution, plus it make room for my intake. Pics available on my site, click on the red 240. You'll know what i mean. Www.msrg.8k.com

thats pretty cool skiman, nice car. I though intake had a minimum length of like 2' or somethin...I guess not huh?
What all did you have to do to move your battery? Was there a kit to buy or is it custom?

i will be making my intake out of metal later and it will be welded and stuffs for less leakege, as soon as i figure out how to get a bigger mafs in there. If i figure it out, i'll make up a few and post em on ebay.
About the battery. on the site if you click on the underlined parts, such as "battery relocation" it will bring you to a instructions area. check it out again.

cool, i skiped past the text and went straight for the pics the first time So where did you put the battery? in where the spare used to be? In another post someone mentioned fumes or gasses that the battery puts off. Did you do anything to get air flowing over the battery?

Carry a can of fix-a-flat. You have no idea how many people I know who went to the track w/o a spare and had a problem in the middle of no where (where all tracks are located )
