So I just picked up a head for my KA24DE and tested the compression on the cylinders and cylinder one had 30psi and cylinder 2,3, and 4 had 120 psi what should I do

What kind of head gasket did you use? This could be the result of a few things...first thing that comes to mind is the Head gasket not sealing? Did you deck the block and oil cover together with RTV on the front? Thats what it sounds like when you say it has low compression all across the board

I honestly don't know what kind I have but I'm just woundering if it's going to be a quick cheap fix or an expensive fix

Well do you know if its stock or whatever? Please tell me you did the headgasket after headwork preferably with ARP's...if its a metal HG you need to do the head and block with tack spray unless the shop determines otherwise. Ask the shop that did your work what they did/used.

Unless you DIY this may be pricey as they may have to do your HG all over. Is there oil in your coolant and vice versa?

Add a capful of oil to cylinder 1 and redo the compression test. If it gets better, your rings are toast.

Yeah I got a stock head gasket and I got the head all done at the shop but I was told it might be that it's not sealed that well but idk I just wanna know what I should do so I can get back on the road

Find a good DIY thread and get creative with something flat to shave your block down unless you want to pull the motor and get it decked. Might as well upgrade while you can with a metal hg but you have to be VERY picky when doing that. Like shave the head and block really flat and use tack spray with arp headstuds torqued to 90ft/lbs. Its not hard just time consuming and tedious. This would be a good time to jump on the "might as well" train
