engine bay fuse box

I'm in the middle of shaving my engine bay and I dont know where I should move my fuse box to. Anybody have pics of where they put theirs? That would be awesome!

The correct thread for this would have been the tuck thread, but oh well. If relocating it to your interior isn't do-able for you, you can always flip it up inside the fender like so:

I had to extend the two plugs that go to the transmission harness by about a foot if I remember correctly. I secured the fuse box with several decent sized self tapping screws,and it's pretty sturdy. If you do this, make sure you drill holes in the lid so that any water that gets inside and drain out. I've had mine there for over 2 years with no problems. with that said, I'll be relocating it to the interior soon because jacking the car up and removing the fender liner every time I need to check a fuse gets annoying.

I suggest away from the front end in case you smash into something. A lot of people relocate to the glove box. I've seen under the dash. I've seen in the trunk. It's really how comfortable you feel with wiring. Personally, I will most likely be going glove box.

yes DO NOT put it in the fender. i made that mistake. whole fuse box got corroded and messed with everything electrical. i replaced the fusebox and moved it into my dash. im not running a passenger airbag so thats where i put it

honestly ive seen it placed in the center console near the back. where it opens up. that way its easy to access and its pretty much out of the way. the glove box is a nice place too

Eh Like I said, mine has been in there for over 2 years with no issues. No corrosion or anything. Only time I've seen problems is when people didn't drill holes to drain the water.

^Ive seen many tucks before but like Hoffman said, flipping it under is the easiest/clean way of doing it. Looking at that i may even consider that.

Ive personally went that route of trying to tuck underneath the dash only to have my mechanic give up/lost track on the whole project. Dont do it if you dont know how, dont do it if your mechanic doesnt know jack about wiring, dont do it if your cheap about it.

If I was to properly tuck that somewhere, i would have a professional like Jeff from Jordan Innovations to rewire the whole car vs reusing OEM wires and keeping useless junk.

I've been considering relocating my fuse boxes, and was wondering about how difficult and time consuming it would be to put them in the trunk? Although I'm sure I already know the answer...
