ok so I did research thought I found the right way to convert the plug wires to go to an sr20det wire harness..
I found.. that you can do the two grounds together large white goes to large white and small white goes to black and white strip line the orange one I have no idea people tell me they have no idea they've never seen this type of wire setup... any help guys would be greatly appreciated my car runs like total crap and only will idle with maf unplugged.. and now it's blowing white smoke after new turbo install probably bad plugs but that's another issue...

With this maf installed does the car throw any maf codes? That can help to show you if the ecu is registering the maf
You can check the voltage at idle and see if it matches what a normal Sr show be drawing with a z32mafs. I think there may even be some threads floating around with those numbers.

yeah I dunno I can't see it, gauges don't work at all either...

Is it tuned for the Z32 MAFS?
Also, if it's an Enjuku ISIS Z32 MAFS, they are known to be problematic.

bump for anyone that has seen the plug I got

I have the exact same plug.
Stop looking at wire colors and worry about function <---lesson 1.
I'm gonna show you, but I hope you retain lesson 1 for life.
looking into the plug 2 notches on top 3 on bottom.
blank---12v--- ground---ground---5vsignal---blank
If you don't know what the sr harness wires are turn koeo and find the 12v wire. if you are concerned about the 2 grounds don't be, wire them together or 1 to the chassis, just wire them up, and depin any unused wire
would have posted picture but this crap is already covered!;)

what I labeled after searching on net (no color matching)

That's wrong the Z32 plug!
Sr harness is correct!

All diagrams i saw showed it like this so if its wrong what's the correct way then?

Ok did you ground any to chassis or together? How you just said it is how its currently hooked up and won't idle with maf connected
cotbu

I have 1 grounded to the chassis and also have it split to run a stock mafs

Does it matter on black grounded to chassis either one?
cotbu

No, but i usually wire the first to the harness and second to chassis. If you have poor grounding try wiring them together, it works both ways. Never tried just one wire though, chassis or harness.

weird cuz I have it wired both together to sr20det harness i'll have to go back and try it again I hope my maf didn't go bad while I was chasing wires on some other issues...

You can burn the signal wire, ecu pin or trace just by sending 12v-14v down the wrong line, the mafs on the other hand, might not feel a thing.

thanks for the help bro.. definitely had it wired backwards.. thing runs like a champ now...
now its just trying to figure out why my gauges don't work.. I got constant power to them.. and then I tested the yellow red strip wires on each plug and they have power when in on pos and then none in off pos... so i'm confused on that one now

What kind of gauges, stock/triples, or aftermarket (brand)?

so I'm chasing wires while I wait for a friend to get a full chassis jdm harness for me. all gauges are getting power but none work? crazy I know an s13 with an analog cluster that doesn't work :spank:... well just curious I;m going to post some stuff of how to test but curious on how to test continuity.. do I haveto connect a wire to the end at the ecu? then test the wire at the cluster?
ok so the I believe was red with yellow stripe had constant power on plug1 (temp) where the clock keeps its power... gauges are getting power to get ambers to turn on with turn of headlight switch.. the other yellow stripe wires o the other are getting connection when in on pos but yet gauges aren't working tested another cluster and same thing weird is that is was working fine then stopped..
this is stock jdm sr20det cluster, my car is right hand drive

I would star testing the grounds on the cluster. Continuity can be tested from the ecu to the cluster if you can match the same wires.. But you need long ass multimeter cables.

When testing continuity, you're only testing the wire to and from it's end locations x-x for an open line. always test, signal and power lines for continuity to ground as well, this locates shorts. If the ecu is known good remove it from the testing procedure, along with negative battery cable, unless you're testing for voltages.
If the end of the line being tested is on the other side of the car use a jumper wire, that you've already tested for continuity.
Find out the voltages on the power wires, then cycle through the ignition switch. find out if any voltages drop that shouldn't.
Have a pack or 2 of fuses they'll blow on you, just to piss you off!
