well it seems tl be non stop problems with my s15 the last few months or so. now i relocated the loom a few weeks ago.

now i noticed the wipers will only work at the hightest speed setting and they will not return to the bottom of the window when you flick the leaver up it will just stop where ever you flick up the leaver. also the washer jets dont work either. i checked the 10amp fuse in the foot weel for the wipers. and its grand checked the brown block connector behind the steering wheel. and its fully in... i was very careful with the loom during the relocation.. dose this sound like a stalk problem? or if it was the stalk would the wipers not work at all?

hellllllpppppp :/

Did they work before you relocated the loom?

Sounds like you need a new stalk. That is where I would start.

ya i get ya mikester, i was thinking the same myself, but i documented everything i unplugged and marked it in tippex and there is only 2 connectors that go into the stalk one brown and one white one and they are both fully in. i sourced a stalk lastnight for €20
off a friend im getting a lambda sensor off him aswell so ill fit it and see from there. but if the wipers work at one speed that means the motor is still ok right? is there a relay for the wipers somewhere? i downloaded the fuse diagram for the car and bar one 10A fuse there is nothing else conneectes to the wipers.

Have you checked the wiper amp? Usually that controls the speed of the wipers on s13's and s14's and may well be the same for s15's.

well just after buying the stalk and changed it and no change, nothing works except the high speed wipers.

Its got to be located under the dash, perhaps on the left side (passenger for you) If you found the image on line of what it looks like you are already headed in the right direction.

Well after searching again i Can not for the life of me Find anything that looks like a wiper amp... i downloaded the Service manual and got digging on El-89 it mentions the amp but dose not say where its located and now im thinking maybe its located within the wiper stalk?

if it is than it must be ok as the problems are the same with both wiper stalks i have,

reading through it, the Wipers have 2 earths both located just behind the headlights but a load of stuff use these earths inc the headlights and they are all working,

so that rules out the stalk, possibly the amp, Fuses, Earths, so all that's left is the motor itself (but the washer jets are not working either) or i damaged the wiring during the Relocation, i took a quick look and nothing obvious is damaged, so is there anything else i can try before i start stripping the wireing apart from the loom chasing wires :(

On an S13, the wiper amp is a little orange or green-colored box mounted right near the wiper motor on the outer frame rail of the engine bay. I just looked at some OEM S15 engine bay pics and can't see one... but it doesn't mean it isn't there. I relocated mine to inside my frame rail...

well i found the problem!! the pins on both the wiper motor and washer bottle where slightly corroded. so after rubbing them with some sandpaper and tightening the connectors with a small screw driver everything is working again lol.

i wouldnt mind but i took the plugs off both of them 2 days ago and never clicked that they where corroded. (altho i may have been very hung over that day!!) but as soon as i took them off today i knew right away lol so anyway wipers and all working again happy out until the next fault rears its ugly head :)

thats for the pointers guys!!

and for anyone who is wondering after reading the workshop manual a few times im convinced the amp assy is built into the wiper stalk on the s15.
i had seen a advert for one for a s15 on ebay but i think its off a s14 and someone is chancing there arm.

thanks again
