Confused on the micron inline fuel filter setup??? help...

Ok guys, I've searched and read lots of people's inline fuel filter set up and they all use different size micron(either 10 to 40 micron before the pump then 100 micron after the pump and vis versa) before and after the inline fuel pump... So, which is the proper way (micron size filter) to run before and after the fuel pump??? please help guys.. forgot to mention I am running intank walbro 416 fuel pump with the bosch 044 inline with e85... let me know what size micron filter to run before the 044 pump and after...
