its a cat back on the otherwise stock system. im going to get a hotshot header in the next month or so, so it will be interesting seeing how that sounds. I'll get some sound clips up and some pics up soon.

you paid more for that than you could have for a catback, now, didn't you?

lets see, 280 for the muffler, and 120 for custom cat back, so for 400 dollars i dont think its that bad.

wow some of you guys are pretty stupid. keep buying your 30 dollar ebay mufflers and complain about the sound quality. add all the resonators you want too. I guarentee mine sounds 10x better.
bragging rights? :tweak: are we in high school? that was pretty idiotic.
could it be I just prefered to have a really good sounding muffler and cat back for the same price you guys pay for your "JDM authentic everyone has" type mufflers? :gives:
Sorry I didnt go with the majority and put the same thing everyone else has on my car. what was i thinking?

awwwwwww.....we made him angry
could you post a sound clip?

no worries. I was about to go that route too. but an HKs cat-back was actually cheaper, which is why i didn't go for it.. Remus wasnt a full cat-back.

Well first off,I am in high school seeing as I am 17 years old. And second off,I think that paying almost $300 dollars for just a muffler is pretty damn idiotic, too. I have heard plenty of custom exhaust systems that cost a great deal cheaper that sound AWSOME.I am not trying to diss you,I was just trying to firgure out why the hell somebody would pay that much for an exhaust system.
My exhuast sounds tite(i think) Flowmaster=60 bucks(free for me) Catback crush bent 2.5 inch piping(also free) Welding(free again) And the stainless steel tip(free).
My exhaust cost me about 32 cents of gas to drive down to the shop and have it done.

I have heard Remus mufflers on 3 different cars now, and each one sounds awesome. They're famous for being some of the best available, but are more popular with the euro cars. $400, I'd say money well spent from my personal experience.

doh sorry. Well i was on their official web site and heard the sound clips on there, so i took a chance and got it. The muffler seems really solid, had some pretty heavy duty looking hangers on it. its coated with a black thermal layer to prevent rust. remus mufflers usually go on european cars, so i guess there pretty high quality.

remus is just popular with the european crowd, euro cars always like stuff thats a happy medium between performance and appearance.. I had a remus on my KA for 7 or so years, it's a good exhaust for people who want that balance. the construction and build quality is good. last i recall, i dont think remus sells exhausts with mandrel bent piping.. but maybe they changed.. just to give you an idea as to what type of exhausts they sell. very strong construction, very clean and non-resonating sound, very nice appearance.. didnt rust, didnt have any problems.. but of course, its prob not pushing the limit of performance either. like i said,l its a good exhaust.. but way different than the big straight-through can exhausts commonly used on japanese cars.
