Well I ordered a S-15 engine last week and got it in from Speed Factory today. $1700 complete I will now have a R-33 GT-R tranny Fabricated (Bell Housing and drive shaft) that tranny will support 1000ps (not that I will be pushing that much) but it is a better tranny than the SR Mission. I have a TD-06 20G 18cm with a greddy 1.7kg waste gate gonna throw on it. I will have pics up later tonight.

Not sure yet I have a S-14 Engine now and I am at 340 with a minor tune to the Stock computer and Full exhaust, A Z32 fuel pump, Sard FPR, and S-15 injectors. I got the S-15 engine because it is newer, it only has 14,000mi on it the pistons and rods are forged instead of cast it has a 1.0mm head gasket already But most of all because I wanted a S-15 engine. I will look at trying to push 450 with a Power FC Pro. and a Nismo 260lph fuel pump. I am leaving Japan in July so I son't have a car yet in the states I have a few lined up but hell July is a long time to wait for someone to buy your car.

340 whp on a stock s14 turbo? Maybe on the greddy kit.
1000cc injectors? Do you plan on driving this thing on the street? ever? :duh:
Good price for the motor though.

Like I said before I am not sure what direction I want to go with this but yes 1000cc I would rather have the access then wait to save the money to get it later so I bought it all already.
Yes 340ps with a stock S-14 turbine. The car has 1.8mm metal head gasket, Sard FPR, Z32 230lph Fuel pump, Stock S-15 480cc inj, HKS 264 cams and a Techno sports ECU tune oh and a FMIC. It is not Difficult to get that power out of a S-14 engine I mean really it is what 220 stock we are only talking 120 extra Hp If you tune it right it will push the power with no problem.

Well actually I have a few extra S-14 and S-15 turbos I will part with them for $300 I bought a few extra because They do tend to give out sometimes under extreme abuse. They are jsut the turbine no down pipe and If you need the metal gaskets let me know. Since you are taking the turbo off You can get a stock S-15 manifold gasket (it's metal) for $23 well just PM me I will be coming back to the U.S. in July (San Diego) so let me know.

D'oh.. I thought you might be in mainland.. Oh well.
Doh! If only we were in Japan... All the SR prices gets marked up when they hit the US.
wow man were gettin ripd over here....

actually, i think sr prices are increase in japan as well, because of ppl in the US wanting to buy them.

04-27-2004, 10:49 PM
Yeah they are really cheap over here but when you think about the cost to ship them and the customs fee's the price goes up. I can get a container for $3000 that is a 20ft container and ship it to Oakland CA for the price of the custom fee's that 20ft will fit a lot of stuff. I am affiliated with the U.S. Government :ughug: I have one already locked on and I am using it to bring some of my goodies back I will have it nearly full of japanese goodies. But make not mistake it cost me alot. I have spent quiet a bit of dough with all of this.

04-28-2004, 12:12 AM
Well I did not have any trouble finding them for under $1800 that was for an S-15 and $1300 for S-14's and they are all lowmilage and clean. They had access to like 5 or 6 engines.

We airfreight stuff from here. If you take the Valve cover off and crate it all (the engine) in a smaller crate, you can fly it to the states much cheaper. The customs declaration is "engine parts". We sent a 2JZ tranny as "parts". and are shipping the engine next week. The 2JZ WITH the Supra tranny totaled LESS than 60000 yen. Shipping will be 350 yen per kilo.
BTW why did you select a GTR33 transmission over an S15 tranny? The R33 transmission is notorious for breaking. The S15 is coveted by many. (I didn't know the R33 would bolt up to the 4 cylinder SR20 it might be more durable with the smaller engine though)
silviasichigo
04-28-2004, 05:52 PM
No it does not bolt up you have to weld the bell housing to the 33 Mission the main shaft spline is the same as the sr. Yes it is notorious for breaking when in it's 4wd config and under high HP. I really can't make enough hp from the SR to damage the 33 mission. Speed factory's owner has the same config. and well his car is pretty nice and runs well. the drive shaft had to be fabricated as well but he already has the specs from his and the whole set up only cost $1500 so I really can't beat that since the zenitani set up is like $3500.
LoL, good god meng. 340hp with stock turbine, awsome. Makes me wanna go SR20, but im tryn to go KA-T. I wonder if the S15 turbo would be good for the KA??

yeah it was not cheap for the tuning just in the past few months I got it up there but it was just to sell it. I put a stanless steel mani, and down pipe and I already had a stainlees full front-straight pipe. I am boosting 1.3
