So i bought this cat back off ebay

89 94 240sx s13 Turbo JDM N1 Stainless Catback Exhaust Muffler System Combo Kit | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/89-94-240SX-S13-Turbo-JDM-N1-Stainless-Catback-Exhaust-Muffler-System-Combo-Kit-/140864149612?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3A240SX&hash=item20cc28586c&vxp=mtr)

Pros:
The quality of the product wasnt bad and the welds were good all around

the only thing that looks weak is the hangers which everyone seems to say

Cons:
this thing will scrape even if ur a little slammed (tucking a little bit of tire)

Silencer will not come out but if u run a ka24de n/a i would leave it in for more back pressure
But i wouldnt know cause i cant get the stupid thing out

Does anyone know what to do?

Since when? usually the silencer has one bolt holding it on. Or it is in the box loose.

Not buying Ebay parts would be a good start....

Should just be 1 or 2 nuts/bolts you need to unscrew.

lol, that is the generic cheap ass eBay exhaust... You get what you pay for. I bought the same one from a different company(they used the same picture) and the fitment is junk. The silencer is also held in with 2 Allen bolts not just one. The welding looked great for $150 delivered to my door but when I went to install it one of the flanges was welded crooked, causing it to droop down when bolted up tight. The rear hangers are too long after the bends as well, making the hanger ends vibrate against the bumper support. It makes all kinds of janky ass noise.

I'm happy though, I got what I paid for. I'm just going to have to do some cutting and welding to tuck it better. N/A ka24de without the silencer = Too fucking loud with absolutely no power increase. It also makes for some nice fireballs when shifting at high rpm if you have the slightest leak in any of the janky exhaust gaskets.

Ebay exhaust is fine if your your decent at modifying it to make it fit correctly. Its just pipe. Though if you have access to a welder you can buy mandrel bends in aluminum for half the price and have an even lighter exhaust. Add in a good muffler, and maybe a resonator and its about the same price for a much better exhaust.

i understand knockoff wheels, hell i've had a bunch; but do people know that the exhaust is the thing you hear, and force everyone else to hear, EVERY time you put your foot down? c'mon.

I think sound has more to do with exhaust type than brand...

Buy mandrel bends in ALUMINUM? You're breaking new ground here, buddy.

BTW, I own a TIG welder and I can tell you that building or even modifying an exhaust is not as easy are you make it out to be.
