I'm new to the SAFC 2. I've only used a few other handhelds in the past but for some reason I cant wrap my brain around the SAFC. Basically what is up is the car works. I know it works fine because before my daughter got ahold of the safc while I was under the car, it was running fine. Does anyone have a good starting point for a blacktop with a stock SR MAF on 550cc injectors. I can def figure it out with some time, but its at the point where I had it running on 2 IN 6 OUT but I couldnt rev it without it dying out. Almost as though it was flooding itself. I'm debating on wiping the settings and trying to figure it out from the start. Any suggestions?!

I think the blacktops and redtops have the same in and out.
Anyway in is maf, out is ecu.
So if you have a stock mafs and it oem stock it would be 6
An un modded ecu or stock ecu is 6
if you had a z32 mafs and the modded ecu was tuned for the z32 mafs it would be 2in and 2out
If that made any sense, the the 550cc injectors are about 33% larger IIRC try pulling like 30% out across the board.
then use your wideband to add or remove more fuel.
Their are other setting that need to be set, so get the manual. Good Luck!

If the ECU is stock, leave the IN/OUT to the same number. Doesnt matter if its 1/1 or 6/6.

yeah I got that all squared away. Rite now the car is running, I am trying to figure out the throttle setting. I have it set to 20/40 Not sure if thats "correct" but it seems to work. I also tried 20/50 and it seemed ok. I guess what I'm trying to figure out at this point is what those represent. Does that correspond with the Throttle - Narrow setting and the Throttle - Wide setting. So when adjusting fuel on the narrow it only applies to when the throttle is cracked 20%. And the wide kicks in at 40%?. When I adjust fuel on the narrow setting at idle I start at 1k, I've been adjusting there watching my wideband. I tweaked it till I saw it to where it bounces between about 13.8- 14.2.
So be that the case, if it applies to the 20% / 40% throttle, I would presumably adjust fuel across that narrow setting to properly reflect "normal cruising" driving conditions. Like low 14's, high 13's just to be safe. And then move onto the throttle - wide to reflect WOT pulls, and attempt to be around high 11's - low 12's. I'm just toying with this for now as I have a full AEM EMS I'll be putting in at some point and its been a while since I played around with a tuner of any sorts, just trying to get a refresher and maybe learn a little more before hand lol.

LMAO. I died a little. I have the AEM V2 already, just buying time for now.
