Hey guys ive had my s13 for about....... a year or so. Just got a daily driver so I don't mind thrashing my car around on the track :D.... trying to figure some stuff out and wanted some input regarding engine swaps and such.....
it has a stock KA dohc. I have about 8k to drop on parts and stuff. Want to build a drift car as nicely as possible (not sure how to phrase that). I have upgraded suspension components and such. I was thinking of doing an engine swap and heres where I hit trouble....
Im sure many of you guys have done engine swaps. I'm curious on what you guys thought on various engine swaps. I don't mind if its carb legal or not. Things I were thinking of doing were like a black top sr, 2j, possibly a v8, etc. What do you guys recommend? I'm getting myself into something I have never done before. Im trying to find something somewhat reliable, yet I can mod up a fair bit. Where to start?
I originally thought of the e-rod kit (ls3 smog legal) but its a bit pricey. What do you guys recommend? I really want to get this thing rolling, ive been doing a bit of research but nothing is better then getting direct input from the community. Thanks everyone!
