In the big oval is a lip that my tires rub on (both sides). Can I bend this lip at all without an adverse effects. I don't want to mess anything up. Also in the smaller circle what rubs here (both sides again). All help is appriciated.

I was looking in to those because I al getting coils in a month or so. I really don't like that lip though. It is just a little scary if you know what I mean.

I wouldn't worry too much... I rub in at least 4 places in my front wheel wells... the "flap" on the inside (long oval that you circled) can be heated and hammered down if you're worried -- or you can dial in some more caster. Caster should also help your rubbing in the rear - that's the one place that I don't rub, and I think I'm within factory specs. (roughly 7 degrees)
What size/offset wheel and tires are you running up front?

I have 17" x 7.5" et 40. I know it is a crap offset but hey they were cheap.

I'm not sure I see what you mean by "lip." If you mean the pseudo frame rail there, I wouldn't want to bend that. I'd just go with some spacers. I'd be more worried about the part up front though... How does it manage to rub there??

oh quit being a pussy and take a hammer to it. there is not much you could break on a car with a hammer to the point that you couldn't drive it. that rail has a couple inches on it before it matters, go beat the fucking thing.

beat it down.. it's not a big deal. I had to do it to two cars at DD15.. also check the rest of your wheel well for rubbing

Well I am getting spacers today. I first heard it grinding while drifting too. I will most likely bend it any way for safety sake. I think the other rubbing is from the tie rod end; which the passenger side is bad.

I've done it and I know at least a half dozen other people who have banged that lip down.
