Put it on a pallet and stretch wrap it. Find a DHL Freight/International agent, they should have the best pricing, next best thing is bringing in your own container.

they make a good mark up. RB's in aus go between 50-300 bux. no way I'm paying 2,000 to 3k for a short block when i can get the same thing cheaper.

^ yeah pretty much that... ^.^
rbthirty.com (http://www.rbthirty.com/) <--- not a bad place either from what I've read but I got mine on my own locally
If you do your homework and take your time you will find a good deal, people usually are really surprised at how cheap the project really is in comparison

it''s just like any other RB I dont know what people have to exaggerate the price so much just to make a buck. irritates me and thank you for the link!!!
I have a RB20 right now that I will compound turbo and if it should blow either a RB26 or RB30 is in the works.
if i do RB30 it will have a N1 cylinder head.

I thought about doing a Compound setup on my Rb20, and I'll advise against it.
it will still spool slow.
Now this on the other hand is what you want to do ( my engine ) :

Not to be a dick, but why did you make this thread? You asked a question about something that you won't do until after you a) build a rb20, b) it blows up, and c) you don't decide to do a rb26 instead...

^Yes please verify?
If your still building engine #1 then do that one right and not worry about engine #2...
If not your just wasting money at this point...
Besides you don't use a RB20 head on a RB30 conversion only 25 or 26...
There is this site you may have heard of, it's called Google... use it and read before posting

My company handles all of its international shipping through www.evanstrans.com (http://www.evanstrans.com)...
You can also call Fedex Freight and get a quote, just make sure you have a rough estimate on weight, the township and country of origin as well as your zip code, let them know if you have customs documents, and they will ask if you need any special services (I'm guessing this will be a residential delivery so you will need a lift gate truck, or you can have it scheduled to be delivered to the closest FedEx facility where you can pick it up)
i have been wondering my self about shipping on the rb30 blocks as its one engine im seriously thinking about doing in my z32.

you can use a RB25DE head and it bolts on with no mods.
why? do i need a RB30? BECAUSE their cheap for the price i pick up a rb26 (the price is INSANE for a 2.6 liter) i could pick up a RB30 short block, their cheaper more displacement etc etc etc. in the world of power displacement is king no if ands or buts.

Does anyone know what store has the best price on Pepsi??? I'm not going to buy one right now though. I need to finish my Coke and Dr Pepper first. I might change my mind though, since it'll be a while before I'm ready to buy. I'm just posting the random bullshit that flows through my head. Wait, this is Twitter right???

RB26's are expensive because they come from GTR's ONLY. I mean, it's ONLY a GTR. The engine should be cheap right???

I think their too expensive for what you get? ONE WHOLE .1 LITER??? i can get that and more just by boring out the block.
have a friend in japan who builds Rb's now, he was in the military and discharged in japan bu givin a option to stay or go home, he stayed.
he tells me RB26's in japan for between 300-400 for a motor RB26 - 150-200 for a rb25 and people toss rb20's away.

There were a lot of other improvements other than displacement to the RB26. Intake mani, turbos, engine internals, etc... The displacement was kept small to allow for higher RPM's.
I guarantee you that you can't buy a complete RB26 for $300-$400 anywhere in the world. Maybe a longblock with NOTHING ELSE, but even then I would be willing to bet that's the very rock bottom of pricing.
It's pretty ridiculous that you're bitching about RB26/RB30 pricing. You "say" that you're going to build an RB30 w/N1 head. Do you know how much that head costs? Do you understand how much building that engine up from the basic hard parts is going to cost? You're talking about a $10,000+ engine. You're unwilling to accept a $1500 price tag for the RB30 shipped because they're so cheap in Austrailia. Do you understand that shipping from Austrailia is going to be a shitload. I would bet that if you picked up a $300 RB30 in austrailia by the time you paid for shipping and customs you would be right around the $1500 mark.
Your talking a big game, but I just don't buy it. Maybe you should stick with the RB20...
I don't think he knows the answers of any of your questions... this kid is like :bash:

Funny how these are worth nothing and not many people bother with them in sils in aus, only really in VL commodores as they came turbo from factory(Holden bought them off nissan in the late 80's for this model)
maybe because they dont like to rev
Mate has a backyard full of them from R31's and nothing to do with them

dude... go back to school THE DISPLACEMENT was kept low for racing classes NOT for anything else. I believe it was made as a RB26 to keep in the N1 or group A class ( i forget nissan was heavy in racing in the day) and 500 or more cars had to be made with the same displacement, i believe if they went to a RB30 WHICH they very easily could have they would not have been able to keep the AWD in the skyline GT-R's because of weight restrictions of something along those lines.
the twin turbo and itb was purely for response that the heavy gt-r needed for getting out of corners quickly. short runner = torque band shifted and power band shifted higher up in the RPMS long runners = low down torque but there are many more variables that effect torque curve other then runner design.
you can make a 5 liter rev to 11k it's all about how it's built put together, rod ratio, bore x stroke ratio... look at nascar's had it not BEEN for the rear end rule they could spin to 11 or 12k... ON A PUSH rod engine.
please learn when you're talking about.

Really, I need to learn what I'm talking about? Maybe you're right, they kept the displacement at 2.6l for class racing legality. It DOES actually allow for higher RPM's as well though, so I am not wrong. EVERYTHING else that you're arguing about is irrelevant. I never said why they added other improvements, I just said they did. Thanks captain obvious, they went ITB for better response. I TOTALLY didn't know that. I also had no idea that large v-8's can live at high rpm's if you modify the living crap out of them. I've never heard of nascar. It's about MUCH MORE than the rod ratio though. YOU need to go to school on that kiddo.
Go work on your POS Z31 "racecar"...
