So recently i purchased a badly swapped sr20det 240sx hatch.

I've been going through problem after problem and tackled this one over the weekend.

I know this is a common problem between the sr20det and the Fake Greddy intake manifold. Or Freddy if you will.

Here's how my the bracket was set up on my car when i got it.
http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii13/jesteratc/92%20240sx%20Champaign%20sr20/IMG_2275_zps024f6c3c.jpg (http://s260.photobucket.com/user/jesteratc/media/92%20240sx%20Champaign%20sr20/IMG_2275_zps024f6c3c.jpg.html)

As you can see its only held on by one bolt, and not very well, the cable was rubbing all over the place and in general it wasn't very good for throttle response.

Also I've seen that if the cable is not set up properly on the bracket it can put too much torque on the shaft and snap it off inside the throttle body. Nobody wants that.

So heres what my friend came up with.
http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii13/jesteratc/92%20240sx%20Champaign%20sr20/20130505_102053_zpse933eb0f.jpg (http://s260.photobucket.com/user/jesteratc/media/92%20240sx%20Champaign%20sr20/20130505_102053_zpse933eb0f.jpg.html)

Throttle response is sooo much better. The cable barely rubs, and in general i'm much happier with it.

Also you can see i'm maintaining use of the s13 ka24de throttle body.

So with this bracket you can keep your s13 throttle body, and use a fake greddy intake manifold.

Why dont you pull the cable holder position further back? You can all that thread back there for adjustment.

I just solved the very same issue recently with this for under $20:

Online Store - Xcessive Manufacturing (http://www.xcessivemanufacturing.com/ONLINESTORE.html?cid=52&step=4&pid=334)

Fit is perfect, installation in <5min... and BTW, they polish nicely ;)

However, someone else may be interested- that is definitely a nice fix you guys came up with... but IMHO it needs to be about 1" shorter to allow greater cable tension adjustment.

If anything, you can go ahead and post the drawing for anyone who wants it.

I suppose because i want the fulcrum of the cable to be at the very end, that way it stays straight for longer. Also it gets Full Throttle, i think that's whats important.

Dude, I'm not in business lol... That just happens to be the one I bought from Xcessive... Not even sure if they advertise here.

If you're trying to sell goods or services, you should really do it in the For Sale section.

Your solution was quite good- maybe a little bit more fine-tuning, but a great idea.

^^You still need to move your keeper back a bit to accommodate different tensions/throttle cable lengths.

Working on other projects. no time for making brackets.
