hey guys, i'm a noob. had my car for about 6 months now. having a little problem with the brakes..
here's the deal: my rear right caliper has been making a grinding noise thats been getting worse and worse. thinking i had a rock stuck in my brake pad, i took the caliper apart to find out that my inside brake pad is completely worn out and is destroying the rotor. for some reason, the outside brake pad was in good condition. so i got some new pads, as a quick remedy. but when i tried compressing the piston, it would not compress at all. no matter how much i turned it, it wouldnt go in. unfortunately, since i wasnt able to install the new brake pads, i had to put my old ones in. i ordered a new caliper and piston so thats on the way, but here's my concern: when i put the caliper back together and bled the lines, my parking brake light stayed on. i'm just wondering if its the piston thats screwed up, or maybe something with the parking brake cables or assembly? any suggestions? please help!
