Hey guys I have a 1989 240 with a Redtop swap in it. Lately it will randomly not start. Here's some background, I bought it with a security system/ remote start installed on it. When I first bought it It would only start with the key phob thing but I took it somewhere and they fixed that. Then it started randomly not starting with the key remote and the key so I would have to bump it. So now I just choice to take the security system and remote start out entirely but it just started doing it again.. Sometimes I'll go out and it will start and sometimes it won't. Sometimes I'll even try it like an hour later and then it'll start, or it'll start fine Thani turn it off and it won't start back up. Battery voltage is always good it's not some parasitic drain or nothing like that. And when it does start it sounds good and quick, doesn't barely start. It always bump starts though I just don't like to do that everytkme so I barely drive it now only when it magically starts. Please help!

Dude someone installed a janky system in there. The ignition cut feature is probably causing ur issues causing no starty.
Have a professional shop remove it all and return to factory. Or buy a new unit to install.
Wiring for alarms can cause a lot of issue. Especially if its remote start on a manual vehicle. Not all shops know how to do it right

Yeah it was defiantly installed badly, nothing soldier and a bunch of the connections started coming undone so I just removed it, but I guess not enough of it. What's the ignition cut off feature? Could I find it and undue it or something?

Normally most security systems have an ignition kill. Im not sure how its wired in per se, but it normally interrupts the signal to your ignition when the system is not disarmed..
If you can get the model number off the security system module you may be able to get a wiring guide and verify no ignition kill components remain
