So I got my zenki about 2 weeks ago and from the first time I saw it I knew that the nasty autozone letters on the trunk lid that spelled out silvia had to go. So once it was in my driveway I took a good look underneath the letters and it looks like the trunk was painted with the letters on but not the letters themselves. I included a picture of the madness where I used goof off(which I ran out of shortly after) on the first 2 letters and just peeled of the last one but the point of this thread is to get ideas on what to put over the blemished area. I could just put a sticker but I'd rather get an oem badge of some sort. All help is appreciated! Thank you all in advance!

Clean that shit up and slap an OEM "240SX" emblem on there...

Just repaint the trunk and fill the spoiler holes while you're at it.

I probably should have specified that I have very little money. If I could I would paint the shit out of my car but I'll just have to cover it up for now.

Its black, how hard would it be to just rattle can the damn thing? Would you rattle can it black to match or have it look like complete poop?

If you use aerosol you should use a 2k paint like spray max or it will definitely look bad.

That's not a bad idea. I just got a buffer so maybe I could get that spot to look ok after a rattle can job?

Just rattle can the whole trunk lid. I've made rattle can look almost as good as car paint before. Just doesn't last as long because it doesn't have as much protection from the elements. This is why I wish my car was black sometimes, would save me so much time and money trying to color match...

I mean, it'll look a little off obviously... especially since the paint on the car is old and weathered. But it shouldn't be too bad. If you get paint, make sure to test spray onto something else first. A can of spray paint is like 4 bucks...

You should go back and read my post... you can get kg3 super black in a 2 part (2k) aerosol and it will match your factory paint and be durable. It'll cost $20-30

I say this would be your best bet, until you can afford a paint job.

go get a couple cans of black spray paint, couple cans of spray can clear coat put at least 3 coats on. if your not happy ask around to barrow a electric buffer get some 2000 grit from napa its like 7 bucks wet sand the clear dont do the very edge you will burn through if you dont know what your doing, then have at it buffing with some compound. the buffing wheel should always be spinning off the edge not into it. or just go with black engine paint ive polished that stuff before without sanding and buffed by hand on my tail light panel it held up great and looked like single stage gloss black haha just took awhile

the whole trunk it wont match unless you get whatever black they used on it, or go to napa and get touch up paint like he said^ i believe they can mix it and put it in a spray can its not super cheap but reasonable just get the paint code and youl need good clear in a can it works OK but most likely you will want to polish it. or find a good painter and pay them to blend the spot in. theres a ton of options big sticker, emblem of some sort, vinyl wrap the trunk.
