ok. so far ive just put on the hub and wheel and left the hicas sensor tucked away. i drove it around the block a couple times to make sure any problems would occur and so far so good. ive read hicas owners (mainly skylines) complaining that thier hicas light would come on when they swapped to a aftermarket steering wheel but even after driving around i have no hicas warning light indicating. still would like some experienced hicas owners opinion about this situation.

i think i found the problem. this is NOT a hicas hub that was sold to me. it saids something on the box about hicas but im guessing it saids NOT FOR hicas cars. has to be. unless someone can read japanese. its a pink HKB box.

sorry for reviving, but...any updates...?
sounds like hicas users (including me) can use any hub, it's just that hicas wont be functional...if this is true, then i'm buying me a new hub already...as long as i can drive w/o problems

does your hub have the part number ON115? actually, my car also has the HICAS and I have installed the HKB hub and steering wheel without any problems. um... i try to tell u as much as i can... actually, after u remove your steering wheel, u can see there is a thing that can turn, and thats your HICAS sensor, and for your car, i think also 240sx, right? u have to put the sensor like vertically and then install the hub and steering wheel, then i think everything will be ok

I Took The Hicas Sensor Off.

why? then u can just use the regular hub then, with parts number, on-07, i think...

So? whats the verdict?
Here's my experience so far. I have a HICAS car and bought a no-name knock off brand hub. its drives fine on short low speed commutes (streets).
On the highway is where I notice the problems.
Im traveling 69-70mph and my wheel starts shaking out of nowhere for a minut, then it stops.
this happens at random times when traveling at higher speeds where its noticable.
HELP?
I took off my HICAS sensor by the way and I dont know how to put it back in right. I guess I'll wing it tommorrow and see what happens.. stay tuned
