so my turbo came in today and the exhaust housing will not clear the master cylinder or brake lines i know s13's are a tight fit with t3 but this wont fly at all its 57 trim .63 ar. so my question is if i send my turbo back and get a smaller one is the actual housing going to be smaller to give me more room, all the knock off turbos say TO4E so i feel like they are gonna be the same. i need help! also when i test fit my manifold i mocked up a garret TBO326 and it fits witht tons of room to spare but the turbo is junk what could i find close to that?

An on-center housing would help. What manifold do you have? Post up some pics.

Different manifold that would sit the turbo a bit further forward between the #1 and #2 cylinder would help.

What booster are you using? The manual trans s14 is pretty thin and may give you the clearance you need I'm assuming your prob using a trendstone cast manifold

so the the smaller turbo is the one i mocked up way back when i started this project. then theres the new one and the manifold i tried flipping the mani but the turbo still wont fit. i ordered a cx racing bottom mount mani hopefully it solves my problem if not i dunno what il do besides sell my setup and get a t28 mani and turbo and call it a day but im broke after all the stuff i ordered last week

Switch to external wastegate, ditch that adapter thing, buy a 5 bolt flange, weld exhaust Accordingly, enjoy

Edit: and switch to a manual s14 power booster

Problem is simple. Ditch the ebay turbo manifolds it has terrible clearance. If you're interested I have something you can work on..

80 bucks! wtf wish i woulda saw that way back when i ordered this worthless tubular piece of scrap metal and that looks like it would def move it forward but the other problem is the wastgate houing sticks up about a half inch above the fender edge so it wouldent clear the hood. we'll see how this cx manifold goes if not il try and sell both and go with that cast one ive heard lots of good stuff about the cast ones but thats a big pain in the ass
