Derale 16759 Fan Control Thermostatic Adjustable 150 to 240 Degrees Kit on eBay! (http://compare.ebay.com/like/330902304146?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar)

so this is the fan controller I have, I wanted to get away from having it hooked on toggle switch.. I got a dual fan controller from this company.. I hooked up according to the specs in the instructions.. I jumped the power and ground and the fans turn on.. but when I splice into the windsheild wiper switch and turn the temp all the way down on the adjustable switch so they would auto turn on they don't.. I'm confused on if I did something wrong...

it says to hook to an igintion power source I beleive to activate the relay..
heres instructions..

The fan controller is a relay, it switches to ground.
Your fan gets direct 12v or constant power, the negative wire from your fan is connected to the controller

Controller:
Red- negative fan wire
yellow - switched 12v ign source
black - chassis ground
green - 12v switch or ac power wire, testing and emergency

That's clear dude/dudet..., but I'll monitor this thread if you need more help than that.

yeah but would the wire for the windshield wipers work for a switched ign source?

Maybe if you choose the correct wire, but it might be controlled by the relay so pulling 12v ign from a relay would be better choice.
Most of the relays on the s13 have 2 12v ign sources at the relay use that as your source. Dont use eccs or egi pump relat, use ac or something else not engine critical.
