So ive read through a lot of stuff on holset turbos and was just wondering about peoples success and how they achieved it. Did you use a hx30 or 35? Did you make your own manifold or purchase? Also what did you tune with and what did you dyno? I got a fresh forged bottom and from the ohio valley so hx's are abundant needing rebuilt of course. So pretty much looking to find setup options. And i do have fuel rail with regulator 750cc injectors and a walboro 255 pump but no intercooler yet. All parts are off the car of course.

U will need a power fc or similar stand alone a wide band intercooler kit and just build a custom hot pipe top mount manifold and a 300zx maf or when u buy a power fc or another stand alone convert it to map

Convert it to map on the stock maf? New to tuning so was under the impression a z32 maf would be easier.

First this belongs in the holset thread. Second don't waste your time. I ran a rebuilt h1c with a .7ar bep exhaust housing and it spooled like dick. Got myself a precission 5557. Just buy a real turbo

I have a hx40 with a fullrace manifold and I made great power. I got rid of my other garrett turbos and will not go back. These turbos kick ass! Do your own research. Don't let someone tell u what u should get based on their personal opinions. They might have had other issues that made it not respond well with whatever setup they were running

Not necessarily...all depends on what engine. HX35s and HX40s kick ass in RB25/26s. Had a buddy put down 600hp on his RB25 with one...IIRC, he had the HX35.

I have a he341 on my s13 sr. Its a little bit smaller than the hx35 so im hoping to see quicker spool times. If I ever actually work on the thing and drive it ill post the results. Im shooting for around 400 on 20psi

lol that was a joke. idk wtf a wide band intercooler kit is.
If you want to get a Holset, I'd say just get a HX30.
If you aren't going to build your engine, I would get like a T28 and call it a day.
If you need a turbo leme know, I sell them all the time. ( many different varieties )

I am building my own. Im new to forced induction but i understand most of the application. Holsets are easy to come across in the Louisville ky area. Which is why i ask about success on them. But if you got some for sale what do u got and prices
