iirc, i used 17mm sockets, 14mm sockets, (maybe) 12mm sockets or wrenches, a crescent wrench, and a cheater bar. and pliers too. and wear steel toed boots so it doesn't hurt so bad when you kick the wall at some random time during the swap

knowledge on how to work on cars would be good... but if you dont have that, how about a FSM and a metric tool set?

jack, jackstands, metric sockets up to 17mm, a breaker bar, preferably an impact wrench, spring compressor, liquid wrench.

You don't need a spring compressor to take the old shocks and springs out, just to disassemble them.

lots of PB blaster, and a bottle of anti seize to coat everything with so it isn't rusted up and stuck when you have to take it apart later.
a magnetic tray to keep the nuts/bolts in so they don't roll off the cement and disappear.

I just finished doing my front/rear bushings and swaybars. Tools I used.

- 3/8" and 1/2" Breaker bar (ended up breaking the 3/8" breaker bar)
- 3/8" and 1/2" Ratchet
- Pipe to fit over breaker bar for more leverage
- 12mm to 19mm Sockets
- 12mm to 19mm Wrenches
- Several short and long socket extensions (3/8" and 1/2")
- Torque wrench
- Pliers, Wirebrush, Long flathead screwdriver (the brush and screwdriver are to help scrape off rust buildup on bolts/nuts).

Majority of the sockets/wrenches used on the underside were 17mm, 18mm and 19mm.

Some word of advice. Avoid using multi-point sockets to remove a bolt/nut initially.
If your hand slips, you might round off the nut. Stick with 6-point sockets.

Also, try and scrape all the rust off a nut/bolt before trying to turn it with a socket.

I'll prolly be doing a writeup on my bushings/sways install (with pictures) so look forward to that.

Or if you are too lazy, here's the other link:

BTW if you need a breaker bar then you should replace the bolts on your strut. The torque settings on those bolts do NOT require the use of anything more than a 12-18" ratchet.
