will a shaved flywheel set off the cps sensor?

i was wondering if shaving a couple pounds off my flywheel will cause my crank position sensor to go off since the cps ring gear on the flywheel would be a little off from the cps sensor???

What? Why would the flywheel be off by shaving it? You dont change anything in the dimension of the the flywheel. More than likely since you dropped the tranny, you left the sensor on and shit got crushed when you slammed the bellhousing to the transmission tunnel.
