he didnt hit me....and i have no cell phone i was all distraught over the damage of my baby!my car wouldnt even have been able to catch up with him and by the time i got to a pay phone he wa gone..i dont think i can do anything to him if he didnt hit me or vice versa..i might be wong!if i am im kickin myself in the ass

well the thing is it has frame damage on the passenger side front..i heard itll cost a nice chunk of change to fix it...if you guys know of any one or any body shop to fix that kind of damge for cheap let me know...

any body shop with a frame machine can do it but it won't be cheap. i work at the body shop my stepdad runs (ford dealer).

Call me an asshole if you want, but I myself would have broken out too if you didn't actually hit ME, and would have had every legal leg to stand on. You call the cops and it is HEARSAY as to the events that go acout this guy "cutting you off" and why exactly you crashed unless you actually hit his car. He left the scene of the accident... Wasn't his accident. Sorry to hear about your car, but I can't side with you on your "nerve of some people" comment, he wasn't exactly wrong to break out...

well same scenario happened to me. i was driving and the guy/girl cut me off and forced me to the right, into a parked car(totalled my car). and when a cop arrived i told him the whole story and he said that i can do something if i had at least a license plate number. he stated basically because i had nothing then it is basically my fault.

The cop told you that you could have done SOMETHING with a license plate number, meaning that you can GIVE him that number, he will find who it belongs to, that individual will be questioned on THEIR version of what happened... Now, without any (if there ever were any) witnesses present, they deny any wrongdoing (as ANY of us likely would) and guess what? It's still basically your fault since you wrecked and the other car didn't.

I have 3 cases like this but I was not in my car I had a rental at the time, going north on the 405 from LAX by imperial some one decided too go from the left 1 lane and I had too make the exit too with the dam fool and the best part was There was a CHP behind me and the cop pulled me over too and warned me about my erratic driving "???? WTF?????? did you see that he almost hit me and the cop threaten me with a ticket for wreck less driving too avoid an accident.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another time some idiot who was driving Le BARRON some POS dodge product wanted too see how fast he could maneuver his car in and out of traffic he passed me in the shoulder of the 405 N coming out of W LA and his rear tire popped and he took out like 5 cars skidding across the freeway.


When it was raining some fool in his Toyota lost control in the connector lane and smashed up my Datsun 510 really bad and broke the suspension so I walked up too him and asked him for his insurance the SOB was trying too start up his car and get a way I only got the lic plate. When the cops from Santa Monica showed up they said I’m sorry sir we can not chase after him that is CHP area "(*^%$^" I said too them, so finally after doing all of the CHP paper work and pulling that person of a line up it took a year too get my money back for the damages too my car and the better part his parents came up too me in the court house and said they dont have the money too pay. But the Judge and the District Attorney took care of it and next court date they made payment.

You have presented 3 issues that are completely different from the one presented by the thread starter:
In the first, you swerved to miss an erratic driver and didn't hit anything, but got pulled, shit happens...
The secon, some other dick is driving beyond his means and takes out 5 cars... Did he actually hit any of these cars? Were you one of those 5 cars?
Third one is the closest, but not quite there, the Toyota lost control and HIT YOU, meaning that he is wrong to have left the scene of the crime, you get the proper information and the authorities will handle it...
Now, I want you to imagine that in the case of that toyota, you swereved to miss him, succeeded in missing him, but hit something else, say a wall or something... He was not in an accident, while you were and he is pretty much within his right to leave the scene, not having been involved in the wreck. THAT is the case with the guy that started the thread.
