I bought 2 beautifull sparco evo2. I fit the rails: nice. I put the seat in: cool. I sit on it.....what? the sparco seat is higher than the stock ones!?

I've talked with the guys at pdm-racing.com and they told me the only way to put those seats in is to bolt them on the floor.

Anyways, that was not an option, I sold the seats. Now I'm wondering what seats would fit on the funky 240sx rails (One side vertical, one horiz). I'd like to keep the rail functionnality and not bolt them on the floor.

you should've searched first, and you would've know they would sit higher. I'm not sure what you have guessing maybe s13, you can get s14 seats or skyline seats or s15 seats i think they all fit fine. Not positive though, i think that's what i've read

Hopefully you learned your lesson! Search before buying. And if you can't find what you're looking for with your search....Make a thread ! Trust me,I've learned this one from experince too.

R32 seat sits lower than the stock s13 did. Has all the holding power I need (150lb.and 5' 10" and I can still get in and out of the car easily. Oh and I have 2" head even with a helmet.

If u've got the cash get some Bride for a fixed seat. If you want reclinable, check out the JIC Magic seats...Both suck you in pretty well when ur sliding out.

If money is an issue, the best holding (bang for the buck): is the S14 seats. Very comfy too. Easily found on the forums here through parted cars. Also check NICO and such...
I've seen some running at pretty low prices.

JIC Magic seats have been known to fail. Bride also makes reclinable seats which are much better than anything out on the market. Another notable reclinable would be Recaro SRD on modified brix rails. If you really want a seat that holds you in, don't even think about S14. It would be a waist of money. Your better off saving for some R32's which are a cheaper alternative to bride brixes.

the skyline seats are very comfortable but usually more than aftermarket seats once they get to your door. but they do bolt in for the most part.
Bride are too small, I'm around 6' 200 lbs. don't like to sit on top of the bolsters with the wings poking my back, no fun.

then my friend, you are trying the wrong bride seats
try the TYPE L series on various ones
made for tall boys as yourself
same goes for the width, the newer brides are made for fatties.

350z seats are very comfy. Hard to find though and expensive if bought from a dealership.

i was personally thinking about getting some civic si or rsx seats and making some rales, good comfortable seats, recaro designed, should make for a decent lowprice seat

civic SI seats are the best performance seats from an oem I've ever put my butt into. and you can get them for anwhere from a couple hundred up to 500 a pair, not bad. I really, really like them.

Will the EVO 2's work with the bride rails?

You shouldnt have sold the sparcos, any seat will fit on the stock rails with a bit of fabrication.

Do a search on FA.

Well, just to clarify I have an s14a. And did make a bit of profit selling the sparco's, so it wasn't a waste that much. It's just that they are so comfortable!! I was guessing Bride.
Also, I did make a search, and most of the places told me it would fit. Anyways, thanks for help all, I was just wondering if any of you guys "actually had" bucket seats in their cars.

The Corbeau A4's hold really well and there not that bad in cost. I made cutome rails from s13 sliders in my s14a

So I guess there's not really a way to keep the funky S14a rails?

I got r32 gt-r seats as well. Supportive and comfortable. You just need to modify a longer bracket to weld on to the back of the rail so it can bolt into the car, otherwise 3 of the 4 bolts fit perfectly fine. If you can get them cheap, it's worth it.

I put a Sparco Milano I had lying around in the S13 and it sat much higher than stock. I could no longer get in the car. I'm getting some Bride's as soon as they come back in stock.

Therefore I have this Sparco Milano Black/Gray Alcantara seat for sale with bracket and slider set for S13 driver's side. $450

It's true. A pictures of R32 seats in either S13 or s14 would be sweet. And also, I can't find any of those for sell.

I am 6' 200lbs and I sat in a Bride Ergo II and it fit fine. If you a bit too big for regular Brides check those out they are really nice.
