I admire the craftsmanship and the time, effort and skilled required to do this. That being said... Not really my style. Too much. Although it would be a bit cleaner IMO if it wasn't the whole car, just the wing or the hood.

Yeah, I snagged a bunch of pics of it at SEMA for the same reasons... Amazing work, but not something I'd want to drive. I'll upload some in a bit.

He wanted to be different but used an EG hatch, one of the most common cars in the states for a canvas?

The way I see it is, it's a piece of art. I mean a civic aint worth shit as a car but as a rolling billboard for what kind of engraving type work this guy can do, it does well.

So did these companies he engraved into the side of his car compensate him for his work? Or did he add them, all over his car might i add, for no reason other than to be a typical honda owner rocking copious amounts of gay stickers?

Probably sponsored parts, engraved their logos to follow the theme rather than use stickers.
Didn't know Vanilla Ice was so good at engraving

Koi fish, dragons and a rising sun on a Honda has to be the most out of the box thing I've ever seen.

Well, he isn't done yet, or so it says in the article. He is also gonna add color to the engraving to make certain areas 'pop'

“The Rear Tow Hook fully hand engraved on both sides. Total hand engraving time was roughly 40+ hours.”
“The Front Tow Hook also took another 40 hours.”

^ true. 40 hrs is a week of work. at that rate. either hes broke or the engraving cost 1000+ for 1 tow hook
not to mention how tacky this really looks. Monster? Password JDM? Seibon on EVERY panel. ran out of ideas. creativity is lacking. skill is there.
creativity is lacking.
not sure if serious

completely. whats the difference between his engraving and a fuckin sticker. its tacky. the rest is just filled in with a basic tribal pattern. Nothing very intrique or unique. wow. he has tire tread on the roof. woot woot. epic waste of time and skill

the effort and time put into it, i really respect. execution... ehh..
i wonder if it's going to get covered in rust the next time it rains/gets humid.

Your a fuckin comedian. This is common sense dude.

you're singling out company logos and judging the whole piece based on it
Whatever though, it's subjective obviously
Not my cup of tea, but I can appreciate the hard work that went into it

lmao. I wish I could at least "like" this. I agree with a lot of the critique in this thread but it's still unique. Execution IMO could have been a lot better however.

Honestly, the coolest thing about this thing was the three-dimensionality of it being that it was engraved into the metal. All of the engraving on the carbon was awful though.

i think it'd look a LOT better if it were all one color too. The time has got to be exaggerated though.
