I'm going to turbo my KA and was wondering what would be the best turbo for mild power, doesnt need to be insane, and very quick spool up. I was thinking a hybrid T3/T4. Any other reccomendations?

yea anything lower than T3 wont cut it. T25 way to small, t28 is pushing it. hybrid is your best bet imho. thats what i want for mine. :bigok:

On a KA I'd go t3/t4. Possibly a t28 if you really want it to spool quickly but I'd think you'd be sacrificing a lot of top end with one, the KA is pretty big for a four cylinder. A t3/t4 would probably be the best compromise between efficiency and quick spool. I don't have a KA-T though and haven't done much turbo sizing for this particular engine though so I'm not positive.

I wonder what would happen if i rigged a T66 turbo... lmao that would be beast. I'd be eatn supras for dinner. But then again, id be buyin KA's out the butthole. back OT, i would expect to get atleast 200+rwhp with a t3/t4, turbo catback N1 single exhaust, and intake. I think...

t25 is small.. but look at ace's numbers... 310rwtq with that tiny t25..
I got my turbo by mail yesterday..
i got a T3 super 60, .63A/R ratio..
i'll let you know how it goes this summer after i install everything...

Kool beans, I saw that thread earlier. That is amazing power from a T3, but how much more can you push out of it? not much i would guess. I wonder whats the max i could get out of a T3/T4? I wonder if i should make a custom intake manifold for the turbo. Or something simular to what i plan on making.

its actually amazing power for a T25, not a T3. Big difference. And as far as what could be made with T3/T4's... I made 412rwhp with mine :)

T3/T4 is the cheapest non-junkyard turbo, and you get a wide selection of TO4E trims and T3 trims/housings to choose from.
